These people and their laws won’t break us. We will prevail.
“So we say: Wula na nikmaq. This is who I am connected to, because we are so alike.” “So you're a family.”
Such a respectful, nice boy 😌
Uh, I brought money. Yes, we make for you. We bring when ready. So, when might I expect it? When ready. Requested by @casualavocados

I'm so fucking frustrated that every single post in the awae tag is shirbert when the most powerful thing to have happened in this episode was the Ka'kwet storyline!!! Did I MISS something? We all love Anne and Gilbert, but literally only one in FIFTY posts talk about Ka'kwet's family at all??????
Let me fix that. Ka'kwet and her parents are so brave. They had their child taken from them at gunpoint and they still went back for her. They KNOW they have little to no chance against the white people and their laws and their guns, but they went back. If they got shot and died, the rest of their children would be orphaned (and more vulnerable probably, to be taken away to similar schools), but they still went back.
I was so glad to see Anne and Matthew take a stand and help them. When Oqwatnuk spoke to Marilla, I had to stop the show for five whole minutes and cry. It's just... Such a punch in the face, because we THOUGHT Ka'kwet was safe. We thought she would slowly heal from her abuse at the 'school'. But there's really no winning in a white man's world, is there?
THIS is why it's so important to have stories about different kind of people and their lives. The hurt that the indigenous people of North America had to endure shouldn't be forgotten.
Dont leave them please I’m so scared
"This will all be solved when the priest arrives."
He... doesn’t really believe that does he. He's just saying it so Anne would go. I'm :'(
