Oh! How about a alpha davejade fic? With a change in age or something idk. Or a non-sburb fic where they're adults like that?
Okay, idk wtf this shit is, but here ya go.
The first time you saw her was in an article in some science magazine when you were young, the sort of thing that you had laying around for shits and giggles, that no one ever expected you to actually read. Her face was next to some story about discoveries in nuclear physics, with the world’s biggest smile and eyes brighter green than human eyes had any right to be. Those eyes haunted your dreams, for days, for months, for years, your brain never really knowing where they came from.
The next time you saw her, you were nineteen, attending a lecture at a local college, still trying to figure out what you were going to do with your life. She was sitting in the front row, grey streaking her hair, legs crossed, foot jiggling as she shuffled through her notes. When she got up on stage and began to speak, your breath caught in your chest, eyes wide behind your sunglasses, every thought of whatever convoluted subject was at hand lost as you drowned in the sound of her voice.
You saw her again when you had come into your own. You were twenty-eight at the head of a dadaist media empire, the entire world nothing but a possibility before you. She stood on a street corner with you as you waited for a cab, and you walked up to her, an inside joke from another life just nearly on the tip of your tongue. She saw you staring and turned, a smile playing on her lips, brighter than the nearest star. You stumbled on your first syllable, taking a while to fall into your usual nonchalance, despite your desperate attempts to play it cool. Her smile grew, knowing and kind, and she slipped you a business card before stealing your taxi.
You saw her few times after that, though you spoke nearly every day. Typed out conversations, ridiculous jokes, under which brewed the whispers of a futile revolution. You skirted around the touchy subjects, never wanting to bring her grief though she saw right through every guise you threw before her. She always saw right through you.
The last time you saw her you were visiting her on her island home, a weekend spend giggling and trading secrets. Her hair had turned completely white but her face remained young and her eyes never ceased to burn down to your very soul. As you climbed into the chopper to head back home, she stopped you with a tug at your arm, pulling you close, and resting her forehead against yours. She whispered you a goodbye and you felt your heart break at the sorrow in her words. You spoke the her comfort, a promise to return, to see each other again. She smiled sadly and pressed a small kiss on your cheek and released you.
The next time you saw her, you were both dead, floating in oblivion, the desperate cause that joined you lost to futility. When your eyes met, the understanding flooded forward, memories of lost lives rushing through your brains as you stared at each other, nonexisting time in a nonexistent place coming to a standstill. Then you were in each other’s arms, with rushed kisses and so many lifetimes’ worth of hungry reunion. When you finally broke apart, you joined hands, and in that void, found other friends, other faces you’d forgotten, and met, so many times over, so many memories that you’d spent your whole life searching for, never able to quite put your finger on.
In the end, you saw her, the world collapsing around you, being torn apart in a jet of technicoloured light. You held each other, not needing to say a word, as you stared into those bright green eyes, finally familiar in a way that you understood, and then everything ceased to be.
Fancy Dave and Jade. Mostly made it as accompany art to my Alpha!Guardian fanfic. (Dave’s in the Davesprite outfit because holy mother of cheese I love Davesprite so much *A* )Â
That fanfic of Alpha DaveJade you wrote a while ago is still one of my favourite fics ;_; Would you ever consider continuing it? It has a bunch of potential!
ohmigosh yes. there is definitely way more to that story that i haven't gotten around to writing yet! I puuurrrmiss that that will be more and that i will continue it once this semester stops kicking my butt! >.<Â
And I'm so happy that 'A World With You' is one of your favorites ;A; that makes me soooo ecstatic and inspired! *__* thank you for asking <3Â
