so like why do we hate homewrecker 1992 so much...... because when i checked the letterboxd profile for the movie ppl were absolutely hounding it💔💔 and for the stupidest reasons too????? "erm lucy the ai isnt scary" she wasnt supposed to be scary you pisslicker "its cheesy" OH FUCK OFFFFFFFFF i cried watching this movie and i was still sad days after watching it bc the ending literally ripped my beating heart out of my body and shot it multiple times with a nailgun and pissed on it. like no movie has made me this sad since electric dreams and if u know me thats saying smth

and some of the ppl in these reviews are just pulling bullshit out of their urethras?? "this movie is a lamer version of demon seed!" hey so demon seed is a movie abt a sentient ai forcefully impregnating a woman (who is his creators ex wife mind you) with his half human half computer baby and then uploading his consciousness into said baby after he dies so he can be human. homewrecker is a movie abt an ai that controls this guys vacation cabin, then said ai falls in love with the man, and tries to kill his ex wife bc shes jealous

i want you to look at me dead in the eyes with a completely straight face and tell me how these movies are similar?? the only similarity is "ooo ai falls in love with a human" (dont get me wrong i love this trope) BUT YOU CANT EVEN REALLY CALL IT LOVE WITH DEMON SEED BC HALF THE MOVIE IS JUST ROBOT HYPNOTIZATION RAPE PREGNANCY PORN

also i saw another reviewer compare this movie to her 2013????? this post is already long enough so im gonna keep this short HOMEWRECKER 1992 AND HER 2013 SHOULDNT EVEN BE IN THE SAME SENTENCE TOGETHER. her 2013 is a shitbag of a movie made by adults who think theyre so deep and meaningful while the only people who genuinely find this movie deep and interesting are people who jack off to phone sex and being strangled by dead cats. or maybe im just 15 idk
