Coruscant is the epitome of overstimulation. In the rare instances in which Casimir journeys to the ecumenopolis he was always sure to make it short and sweet. Each morning, a little spice was needed just to keep the overwhelming cityscapes and massive crowds from getting under his skin. The lower levels made him nervous, but he always made good on a deal so long as the source felt trustworthy. The deal was finished anyway, but that didnât mean he wasnât still after credits.
Coming all this way for one sale wasnât quite enough to endure the chaos, so he had been sure to briefly secure a small cart for a rental fee. Despite his strong dislike for such a planet, it surely brought more customers for psychic readings than dark outposts. The cart wasnât the same as a stationary booth, but he had found a way to make due. Dangling lights across the canopy, a display sign with what he hopes still says PSYCHIC, and a number of his own candles and trinkets from his ship would be enough of a put-together presentation he was going for. Positioned in one of the nicer districts (despite his permit allowing him to be only several levels below), he sat perfectly between dessert bakeries that smelled divine. A plate of powdered sugar wouldnât add to the aesthetic of his cart, but who could blame him?
And maybe, because of the mildly less crowded district, he wasnât getting very many bites. So Casimir did what he didnât typically like doing (but he certainly wanted to justify another round of doughnuts) and verbally advertised to the first person who passed by close enough to hear him.
âWould you care for a prediction of your future?â
Holding a deck of cards that shimmered in the light, Casimir shifted in his seat and peered at the woman from his cart. She seemed quite well-to-do and unlikely to pay him much attention, but he didnât want to just be another bartering salesman so he read her lingering anxiety instead.
âYou seem to have a lot on your mind, maybe I can ease you. Iâll even share a doughnut, free of charge.â
âThe doughnut is free though, not the consultation. But I promise Iâm fair.â An easy smile pulls at his lips, hoping to win her by charm.
