Nest Invites You! Be a part of 'Could Be_'
Dear students of the KABK,
You are most welcome to sign up for the possible presentation of your work during the exhibition at Nest called Could be on March 5. Could be is a One Nest Stand (a one-night show) following up on the project The Damagomi Project by Floris Schönfeld. This exhibition evolves around the story of the Damagomi Group: a group of spiritualists and academics that was active in Northern California from the 1920s until the late 1970s. They were exploring new ways of communication between humans and nature, convinced that nature can give us direction, provided that we are able understand it.
Deadline: January 21!

Corlan Wood | 6th Year | Gryffindor | FC: Hunter Parrish | Open
Parents: Oliver and Leanne Wood
Titles: Keeper, Prefect
Blood Status: Pureblood
Bio: The perfect son. That’s what Corlan McKenzie Wood was, the perfect son. He did all of his homework, showed up to class on time, never questioned a teacher. What more could you want? Corlan was the Wood rising star, like his siblings he worked hard in Quidditch, working to perfect his skill to the finest, hoping to one day be a member of Puddlemere United like his father once was. The Wood family was that of the perfect picture. A loving, successful father, a beautiful wife, and three lovely children, but that image didn’t last forever.
Come the day when Damian was sorted into Slytherin, the brother-ship between the two of them became cold, and bitter. As if nothing was home again. Leaving their little sister out of their family feud, Corlan showed nothing but bitter remorse towards his brother. Slytherin’s were nothing more than scum in his eyes, his brother was now one of them. In a year he would be following shortly behind. Within the following year, Corlan was sorted into Gryffindor, and year later their sister followed into Hufflepuff.
Corlan got popular. The older he got, his amazing Quidditch talents remained the same, but his popularity sky rocketed. While school was heaven, home was hell. Corlan never spoke to his brother at school, only his father and his sister, and he would send letters home to his mother, but to his brother, he wouldn’t dare utter a word unless at a family dinner, where he wouldn’t do much but make snide remarks and glare at his brother across the table. Corlan was the one who got the praise, while his brother got the push. Corlan got the better brooms, Damian got told to go outside and practice more. One was shining, the other was rotting.
No matter their relationship with each other, both brothers remained as protective of their little sister as ever. Keeping young Reilly out of harm and making sure she was safe. Though she knew very little, Corlan strove to keep her as shadowed from their brotherly issue like everyone else in their family did. He fought for nothing but making sure a few things never changed--his Quidditch life, his relationship with his parents and his sister, and his school life—as for his brother, he couldn’t care less. Six years he has grown to nearly hate his brother, and that doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon.
