So I don’t ship book Jon and Book Tormund, I don’t think book tormund would want anything to do with Jon and also book Jon is still a Child I’m pretty sure. or at least close enough and Book Tormund is older than Tormund in the Show though I’m not sure about that. 

Okay so my absolute favorite Jonmund moment ever is this one 

Tormund just killed a man who was going to kill Jon. Jon has just fucked up their whole battle plan because he watched his brother die, and now it seems like Jon is going to lose everything, the battle his life, everything. But Tormund kills the man who is going to kill Jon and then grounds him, centers Jon with nothing more than a “hey” and Jon finds it in him to keep fighting. 

I don’t know about the most painful though. i’m not sure this counts but we’ll go with the death of Wun Wun 

So there’s just something about the bastard son of Lord Stark storming Winterfell with a giant and a wildling. (I don’t care if he’s actually Ned’s nephew, he is Jon’s adopted father which sounds like just his father to me) and then for the last giant to die just inside the gate of Winterfell, next to two men who have the blood of the first men in them? I get HELLA emotional. and I know that this isn’t like a JONMUND moment per say. But I think there is something significant about the fact that they are the ones beside Wun Wun when he is killed. 

okay again I’m not sure this counts as happy but I think both parties were happy about it happening. It is of course “I’ve seen your pecker, what kind of god would have a pecker that small?”

Ned Stark is SO bi it hurts me. He and Robbert fucked in the sky cells when they were teenagers and wards of Jon Arryn. he’s also a bottom and cat totally pegs him but no one asked for that.

Robb is gay, he’s so so gay. I’ll ship him with just about anyone (who isn’t like...his brother you know, not here for that) but like, my favorite ship is him and an OC Byrant

Jon is gay and trans. 

Sansa is a lesbian and in love with Margaery Tyrell. 

Arya is nonbinary 

Bran and Rickon are....children and I don’t feel comfortable projecting things on to them? not that children aren’t queer, there totally are queer children but as a 22 year dude, that’s not something I’m comfortable with doing myself????

and then my most important queer stark headcanon 

My least favorite book-to-show change is the character assassination of Robb Stark. I feel like I could rant about this for AGES but, it’s most easy to see with the way the changed his marriage. 

In the books Robb Stark marries Jeyne Westerling because they had sex, she’s a noble-born woman, and he took her maidenhood. He did what he thought was right. He knew the consequences of what he had done but he felt the most honorable thing to do was the marry Jeyne, lest she has to find a husband while not being a maiden. and of course what if she was pregnant by him? Robb had to marry her and he had to marry her out of honor sure they might fall in love later but the marriage happened out of honor. But in the TV show...... Robb marries Talisa Maegyr of Volantis out of love. There are a lot of problems with this. First and foremost Jeyne noblewoman from Westeros, Talisa very isn’t. Talisa is the opposite of Jeyne, she isn’t a noblewoman, she isn’t from Westeros, taking her maidenhood, and having a bastard by her would not warrent a marriage out of honor. So they had to get married out of love. Ned Stark did not die so that his first son could throw honor by the wayside and marry the first pretty girl he meets. 

It’s like d&d didn’t read the books like they have no idea who Robb is. This isn’t the only time they’ve done this. In the first or second episode, Theon and Robb make some sex joke, and it’s either implied or stated that Robb fucks. Now I know that Robb isn’t a child in the TV show, so where child Robb from the books might not be old enough to get into a brothel TV show Robb is BUT i would argue it doesn’t matter. If you look who Robb is, and you look at his family and the projection of his character as he grows up in the books teenage Robb in the TV show shouldn’t fuck. There is a very powerful line from Cat in the books about how they made her boy a king and she wasn’t sure he had even kissed a girl yet. That’s important. And like part of the problem is the TV show can’t make this a story about children, and I get that. But you’re telling me that Robb, a boy that grew up with a bastard brother, a boy who  was raised by Lord Eddard Stark, is going around fucking women? I don’t buy it, I don’t buy it one bit. It’s very powerful and important that Robb has been made king without kissing a woman because Joffery was also made king without kissing a woman. The similarities between Robb and Joffery is important. That Robb, like his father, dies bc he did the honorable thing and that Joffery like his father dies bc he was in the way of someone who wanted power. 

I don’t know about my favorite change, I mean okay actually I do know. it’s the lack of Aegon Targaryen. Now I know what you’re thinking “Sawyer, Jon is Aegon” yeah, and like, good fine I don’t have a lot of feelings about that. what I do have feelings about is Aegon Targaryen in the books Young Griff just....fucking....showed up all of a sudden there was a Targaryen prince who literally came out of nowhere. GRRM wants me to believe that they killed an orphan boy or whatever and that this kid has been hiding for his whole life? to me that feels like GRRM got bord of his characters and so he invented some new ones but then he just... abandoned those too by the second half of DWD. 

now if Jon is a Targaryen in the books (he obviously won’t be Aegon Targaryen) I would accept Young Griff a bit more because Danny’s three dragons make more sense right? the same way they found Direwolves when they shouldn’t have Danny has Dragons when she shouldn’t. Six Direwolves for the last six starks (The stark name will die after this generation unless book Rickon makes it which...fat chance) and three dragons for the last three Targaryens. Two of, arguably, the most influential houses in the history of Westeros. 

okay so the first time I read A Game of Thrones I was 14/15 and Robb was my favorite character. Then I re-read it when I was 16/17, realized I was VERY in to older men and Ned became my favorite character and the rest was history. 

Ned is, I don’t know, he’s one of those characters who does what is right through and through. Every dumb move he’s made he did it because he knew that was the right thing to do. I hate when he tells Cersi what he is going to do, but still he doesn’t want anyone unduly killed, it’s the right thing to do. He always tries to do the right think.

Maester Amon: If your Lord Father had to choose between honor on the one hand and those he loves on the other what would he do?Jon: He would do whatever is right. No matter what. Maester Amon: then Lord Stark is one man in ten thousand.

I think Jon and Maester Amon are right, Ned would always do what is right, no matter what. Or at least what he thought was right, but not, in the same way the other characters do what they think is right but actually benefits them. There is no reason to believe that Ned thinks going to Kings Landing is going to help him, but it’s the right thing to do, his King asked. I love him for that.
