I dig this photo. Me n' Mo. Amazing it's 6 years ago this month that Moselle and I set out on our 1st tour. I booked us a messy wild tour from NYC across the US to the Northwest, CA, and back home thru Austin and Nashville. We had released our first EP Show Pony, and we hadn't even been performing together for a year. Learning everything totally on the fly and in front of people. I was 29 and this was my first real band. We were hooked. Traveling, meeting crazy people, seeing the country's nature, pushing ourselves to learn and be better performers/musicians. That first tour was truly the time of our lives.
Dedicating yourself to your dreams is especially strange as they, you, and everything are constantly changing. And maybe you never knew what your dreams were in the first place, you were just following a feeling.
Now 13+ tours, 6 years, 500+ shows later and we are releasing our 4th album, looping the country for 2 months on a tour I booked, releasing music we wrote and recorded featuring art Moselle produced. Doing it all just me n' Mo. While I wish this were our debut album and tour, I'm happy to make peace with the efforts, stumbles, and falls as they are all part of shaping who we are and what our music really means. Our music means sharing ideas, feelings, experiences, questions and wisdom with each other. Growing together and inspiring each other to keep creating as that's what keeps us awake, present, alive.
Our latest album Alien Ocean is truly our proudest creation of music and Moselle's art. We need your support on this one as we set a goal with our PledgeMusic pre-order and we only have 9 days left. We offer blue/green marbled vinyl, CDs, cassettes, silk screened posters, shirts, buttons, stickers, and live shows. www.pledgemusic.com/crushedout
Please look around and let us know if you'd like to see any package that isn't there. To all that have ever supported us it truly means the world to us.
Love to u and all on our journey to and from the Alien Ocean.
