Synthetic reader who doesnât realise heâs a synthetic. Has somehow developed to a point where heâs like any other human. Has emotions and parts and bodily requirements and whatnot.
Heâd been a prototype. Something Yutani had made as an effort to infiltrate situations that required someone stronger and faster than the average human but passing as one in any other way or something.
But since he was a prototype he was the only one of his kind. Had been made and abandoned fast enough that his creation had never made it out to the public, let alone to majority of the company.
He doesnât remember much, just remembers waking up somewhere and then going on his way. Heâd learned everything he knew from the people heâd met on the streets, only had basic functions already coded into him.
Then heâd met Rain and Tyler, and by extension the rest of their group of friends. They had taken him in readily, made him part of their family like heâd always been there.
He shared a special kinship with Andy in particular, though he could never figure out why exactly.
Iâm missing my point though! My whole point was reader doesnât realise heâs a synthetic, not until heâs on the station with Tyler, Rain and Andy and heâs running from the facehuggers with the others.
Fear is turning him near blind and his heart is working overtime. He doesnât make it in time though, the doorâs closed and heâs colliding with the glass with an anguished cry. He can hear those things running up behind him, can hear them getting closer. Tylerâs face is in front of him, screaming through the glass and banging on it as he looks between him and Andy.
He canât help the flinch when one of them runs into the door next to him, shoulders hunching up around his ears when a couple more hit the door on the other side. Heâs unwilling to turn around, even if the lack of impact and terrible death is not actually happening to him like he thought.
He does eventually, and what heâs met with both confuses and relieves him more than heâd thought. The face huggers stand around his feet, a couple still jumping at the door and paying him no attention.
Tylerâs gone quiet on the other side of the door, looking on in equal confusion and relief. Reader kicks one of them, watching as it screams and flails before running off, as if it doesnât quite know whatâs happened to it.
When he turns back to the door, hesitant smile on his face, heâs met with Rain and Andy, the former staring with wide eyes while the latter tilts his head in obvious question.
