listen. listennnnn. i am still a little bit in awe that we actually got to meet. that we made it work. that some weird messages on tumblr with both of us spilling too many things about ourselves led to a drunken conversation on new year’s where you, sanne and andy decided you were coming over if i was ok with it (and dragging eline and alice down with you), to that faithful day when it wouldn’t stop raining and i recognised you by the back of your neck and i felt awkward as all hell tapping you on the shoulder, because what if it wasn’t you? SURPRISE, IT WAS. i don’t think your husband will ever forgive me for making him drink iced tea with bubbles, but tbh... worth it. 

You’re just as funny in person as you are online, maybe even funnier, and you’re exactly like I expected you to be - which I mean in the best way possible, don’t you worry. It’s a pleasure being your friend. I do apologise for my country keeping you here, and I apologise for the shitty kitchen utensils that you had to deal with, but your risotto will always be one of my fonder memories, and so will standing on a sofa dancing to Dragostea Din Tei while you’re looking at me like I have lost my mind. Which, to be fair, I have, but that’s not the point. 

I’d give you a dramatic airport hugging scene better than all the rom coms any day you’d ask me to, and also when you don’t ask (which is exactly what happened) and if that isn’t true love, idk what is. I plan on visiting you in Italy and bugging your ass soon, because now that I know how much I love being in your presence, I can’t go without it anymore. It felt like it just fit. You’re the perfect, strong-minded Gryffindor that a Hufflepunk like me needs in their life, and I’m grateful every day.
