Gender Spectrum Terms
A note on the alibinary system (mentioned in the definitions of these spectrum terms):
Viabinary: Used to categorize the experiences of some nonbinary people with genders which are similar to a binary gender.
Mesobinary: Used to categorize the experiences of some nonbinary people whose genders involve both binary genders.
Ideobinary: Used to categorize the experiences of some nonbinary people in a way that relies on binary-related concepts without being directly connected to the binary.
Exobinary: Used to categorize the experiences of some nonbinary people with genders that are completely outside of or independent of the binary or anything related to it.
Spectrum Terms
Fiaspec: Feingender/fiagender spectrum. Everything from the female side of the binary-to-viabinary spectrum. This includes gyninous genders, genderera, female-aligned genders, woman, girl, gyn, wifgender, selenian, lunarian in its original usage, juxera, demigirl, paragirl, girlflux, girlfluid, and gxrl. Also includes genders that are tfiaspec (within and around the female transgender spectrum.)
Miaspec: Maingender/miagender spectrum. Everything from the male side of the binary-to-viabinary spectrum. This includes andrinous genders, gendervir, male-aligned genders, man, boy, andro, wergender, helian, solarian in its original usage, proxvir, demiboy, paraboy, boyflux, boyfluid, and bxy. Also includes genders that are tmiaspec (within and around the male transgender spectrum.)
Liaspec: Lingender/liagender spectrum; being both fiaspec and miaspec; the mesobinary spectrum. This includes androgynous genders, androgynine genders, gendervira (genderavire), femache, androgyne, androx, gynx, angidrox, angidrox, boygirl/girlboy, manwoman/womanman, androgynous aligned genders, androgyne-aligned genders, calypsian, proxangi, nixangi, nixpangi, pandrogyne in its current day usage, and all related genders. Also includes angen, angyns, and angis (referential terms for those who are lingender.)
Niaspec: Ningender/niagender spectrum. Everything on the neutral side of the viabinary spectrum. This includes epicene, neutrois, neutral-aligned genders, demineutrois, neutroisflux, neutroisfluid, neutroprox, neutral aporagenders, neutramale, neutrafemale, stellarian, hesperian, astraean, asteresque, and all related genders. Also includes neutren and neuts (referential terms for those who are ningender.) as well as genders that are tniaspec (within and around the neutral transgender spectrum.)
Ideospec: Ideobinary/ideogender spectrum. Includes fideospec, mideospec, lideospec, and nideospec. Relies on binary-related concepts without itself being binarine. Similar to bingender.
Fideospec: Fideobinary/fideogender spectrum. Everything on the “feminine” side of the ideobinary-to-binary spectrum. Includes genders that are similar to feminine, partially feminine (demifeminine), feminine-aligned, and feminine-adjacent. Similar to fiaspec.
Mideospec: Mideobinary/mideogender spectrum. Everything on the “masculine” side of the ideobinary-to-binary spectrum. Includes genders that are similar to masculine, partially masculine (demimasculine), masculine-aligned, and masculine-adjacent. Similar to miaspec.
Lideospec: Lideobinary/lideogender spectrum. Includes all genders that are both fideo- and mideo- or both masculine and feminine without necessarily being androgynous or lingender. Similar to liaspec.
Nideospec: Nideobinary spectrum. Everything on the neutral, null, and/or nonbinary side of the ideobinary-to-binary spectrum. Includes ningenders, agingenders, and other related nonbinary (exterian) genders and alignments.
Xiaspec: Xingender spectrum. Everything on the xenine side of the exobinary spectrum. This includes xenogenders, xeno-aligned genders (xenic), xenoprox, xenobinary genders, spacialian, aesthetigenders, kingenders, neurogenders, noungenders, colorgenders and all related genders. Also includes xenen and xips (referential terms for those who are xingender) and genders that are txiaspec (within or around the xenine transgender spectrum.)
Aiaspec: Aingender spectrum. Everything on the aporine side of the exobinary spectrum. This includes aporagender, aporine-aligned genders (aporic genders), aporagender-aligned, neutral genders, outherine genders, aporaen, maverique, mavraen, ilyagender, ilyaen, péra(gender), mercurian, and all related genders that are abinary and gendered. Also includes aporen and apories (referential terms for those who are aingender) and genders that are taiaspec (within or around the aporine transgender spectrum.)
Agiaspec: Agingender spectrum. Everything on the agenrine side of the exobinary spectrum. This includes agender, genderlessness, agender-aligned genders, nixian, libragenders such as libramale and librafemale, agenderprox, gendervoid, gendernull/nullgender, voidfluid, voidflux, agendervir, agenderera, bxy, gxrl, nixvir, nixera, and all related genders. Also includes agen, agins, and agies (referential terms for those who are agingender) and genders that are tagiaspec (within and around the agenrine transgender spectrum.)
Abiaspec (exospec/exterspec): Abingender spectrum. Everything within and around the exobinary spectrum. Includes abinary, abinarine genders, aphorian, neutrois, aporagender, maverique, all outherine genders, and all genders entirely outside of the binary. Also includes aben, abins, and abies (referential terms for those who are abingender.)
Omiaspec (oiaspec): Omnigender spectrum. Includes omnine genders such as omnigender, pangender, panfluid, panflux, infiniversic, infiniversanull, infinixenic, and all genders related to having all genders or an uncountable number of genders.
Ouiaspec: Ouiagender/ouingender spectrum. Most genders within and around the exobinary spectrum that do not include niaspec. This includes outherine genders, outherine-aligned genders, proxouther, andergender, dipherine qualities, umbine qualities, ilyagender, proxilya, péra(gender), proxpéra, maverique, all mviaspec genders, and all related genders that are not masculine, feminine, androgynous, and neutral. Also includes oumen and ounes (referential terms for those who are ouingender.)
Uiaspec: Uingender spectrum. This includes cassgender, blurgender, greygender, quoigender, pomogender, voidmasc, voidfem, voidenby, plutoian, and all genders that are unknown, unnamed, undefinable, unquantifiable, undetermined, undecided, unsure, and unidentifiable.
Mviaspec: Mviagender/mvingender spectrum. Everything on the maverine (verine) side of the exobinary spectrum. This includes maverine-aligned genders, maverine-adjacent genders, maverique, maverique-aligned, maverique-adjacent genders, demimaverique, maverivir, maverera, proxveri, solugender, renexaen, régnavant, and all related genders that are outherine, autonomous, and unambiguous all at once. Also includes maven, veren, and mavs (referential terms for those who are mvingender.)
Ilyaspec: Ilyagender spectrum. Everything on the ilyagine side of the exobinary spectrum. This includes ilyagender, ilyaen, enfil, proxilya, ilyagine centrigenders such as mavilya, undel, exiel, and any gender that is entirely abinary, outherine, and tangible all at once. Does not include any mviaspec genders.
Enbiaspec (nonbiaspec): Nobingender spectrum. Everything along the viabinary-to-exobinary spectrum that is not entirely biaspec. Includes genderfluid, genderflux, demigender, all other multigender identities, epicene, neutrois, aporagender, maverique, ilyagender, nonbinary, deminonbinary, nonbinary man, nonbinary woman, exterian, nonbinary-aligned genders, all abiaspec genders, all ouiaspec genders, and all related genders not fully male or female. Also includes enben, nonbins, and enbies (referential terms for those who are nobingender.)
Midbiaspec: Midbingender spectrum. This includes midbinarine genders, circa-binary genders, androgynous genders, liaspec genders, miderian genders, binarine centrigenders such as androx and gynx, midbinary-aligned genders, midbinary-adjacent genders, and all related genders within and around the binary of male and female. Also includes miden, midbins, and midbies (referential terms for those who are midbingender.) Not the same as liaspec.
Biaspec (viaspec): Bingender/viagender spectrum. This includes genders related to or aligned with male and female, binary-adjacent genders, liaspec genders such as androgyne and femache, and any genders related to or existing within the binary in some way. May include circa-binary genders such as proxvir and juxera, as well as midbinary genders. Also includes bien and binbies (referential terms for those who are bingender.)
Triaspec: Tringender spectrum. Includes trinarine genders such as male, female, epicene, midtrinary genders such as androgyne, femache, neutremme, neutromme, neutramale, neutrafemale, and any genders related to the gender trinary. Also includes trien and triaries (referential terms for those who are tringender.)
Atriaspec: Atringender spectrum. Includes atrinary genders such as maverique, ilyagender, péra(gender), all other outherine genders, and any gender entirely outside of male, female, androgyne, epicene, and neutrois. Also includes all atren, atrins, and atries (referential terms for those who are atringender.)
Mtriaspec: Midtringender spectrum. Includes midtrinary genders such as androgyne, femache, neutremme, neutromme, neutramale, neutrafemale, circa-binary genders such as proxvir and juxera, and any genders within and around the gender trinary. Also includes midtren, midtrins, and midtries (referential terms for those who are midtringender.)
Fluidiaspec: Fluid genders such as genderfluid and all its subsets. Can fall within or around any part of the binary-to-exobinary spectrum. Includes boyfluid, girlfluid, agenderfluid, panfluid, demifluid, all genders within the genderfluid fragment gender system (genderfaun, genderfae, genderflor, gendersylph, and others), and all genders that are fluid. Falls under multiaspec.
Fluxiaspec: Fluctuating genders such as genderflux and all its subsets. Can fall within or around any part of the binary-to-exobinary spectrum. Includes boyflux, girlflux, agenderflux, panflux, demiflux, and all genders that fluctuate (such as the fluctuating energies seen in celestial genders.) Falls under multiaspec.
Fluixiaspec: Fluidflux genders such as genderfluix (genderfluidflux) and its subsets (including demifluidflux.) Can fall within or around any part of the binary-to-exobinary spectrum. Includes any gender that fluctuates and is fluid at the same time. Falls under multiaspec.
Multiaspec: Multigenders (multingenders) including all ampline genders, genderfluid, genderflux, fluidflux, mutogender, demigender, bigender, trigender, quadgender, quintgender, polygender, pangender, omnigender, nanogender, paragender, all amplusian genders, and all related subsets. Can fall within or around any part of the binary-to-exobinary spectrum.
Kiaspec (keiaspec): Keingender spectrum. Everything on the kenoine side of the exobinary spectrum. Includes kenochoric and all its subsets, kenochoric-aligned genders, kenochoric-adjacent genders. Any genders based on the feeling of emptiness, eeriness, or genderlessness may be considered kiaspec. Also includes omens, kenores, and hexes (referential terms for those who are kenochoric.) Does not include any xiaspec genders.
Monoiaspec: Monogender spectrum. Can fall within or around any part of the binary-to-exobinary spectrum. Includes all monogenders and anything not multiaspec, fluidiaspec, fluxiaspec, fluixiaspec, or oiaspec.
Eliaspec: Elaline spectrum. Includes elingenders, elale, demi-elale, elale-aligned genders, and all outherine genders with qualities such as creativity, honesty, passion, curiosity, and integrity. Does not include any xiaspec genders.
Vociaspec: Vocingender spectrum. Can fall within or around any part of the binary-to-exobinary spectrum. Includes vocorian, vocorian-aligned genders, demivocorian, vocorine genders such as lusteraen, and any genders that are flashy, flamboyant, loud, or strongly felt. Also includes phonen, vivins, and vocs (referential terms for those who are vocingender.) Doesn’t typically include xiaspec genders.
Modality Spectra and Combinations
Tiaspec: Transgender spectrum. Includes all tingender, trans genders, partial trans genders, trans-aligned genders, and trans-adjacent genders.
Tmiaspec: Trans male (tmiagender/transmiagender/transandrine) spectrum. Everything on the “trans male” side of the viabinary-to-aptobinary spectrum. Includes all genders that are both tiaspec and miaspec.
Tfiaspec: Trans female (tfiagender/transfiagender/transgynine) spectrum. Everything on the “trans female” side of the viabinary-to-aptobinary spectrum. Includes all genders that are both tiaspec and fiaspec.
Taiaspec: Transaporine spectrum. Includes all genders that are both tiaspec and aiaspec.
Txiaspec: Transxenine spectrum. Includes all genders that are both tiaspec and xiaspec.
Tniaspec: Transneutral spectrum. Includes all genders that are both tiaspec and niaspec.
Tagiaspec: Transagenrine spectrum. Includes all genders that are both tiaspec and agiaspec.
Ciaspec: Cisgender spectrum. Includes all cingenders, cis genders, partial cis genders, cis-aligned genders, and cis-adjacent genders.
Cmiaspec: Cismale/cmiagender spectrum. Includes all genders that are both ciaspec and miaspec.
Cfiaspec: Cisfemale/cfiagender spectrum. Includes all genders that are both ciaspec and fiaspec.
Tciaspec: Transcis/cistrans (tris) spectrum. Includes all tcingenders, tris genders, partial tris genders, tris-aligned genders, tris-adjacent genders, and any gender that combines cisgender and transgender together. Includes all genders that are both tiaspec and ciaspec.
