1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

I’ve often joked that I’ll read literally anything if the porn is good, but I must admit I find Clint/Coulson a little baffling. I 100% support playing with crackships and All The Pairings; write and read whatever you goddamn like. I just don’t really get where the huge appeal of this one came from.

13. Unpopular opinion about XXX character? (Steve)

Steve is deeply, dangerously arrogant. 

Granted, he’s arrogant in a way that isn’t typically recognised as arrogance. We usually picture “arrogant” characters as egotistical and selfish – and Steve on the whole is anything but selfish.

But he’s a man who genuinely, fundamentally believes in the superiority of his own moral compass. And that is absolutely a form of arrogance. “The safest hands are still our own” is still a line that sets my teeth on edge because, god damn, the sheer arrogance it takes to be able to reject outright the idea that your moral choices should be accountable to anyone else is pretty staggering.

And it’s so easy to look at Steve and see all the ways he’s selfless, and well-meaning, and Standing Up For The Little Guy, and overlook that fact. 

27. Least shippable character?

I mean, see above re “anything if the porn is good”. But if I had to pick one MCU person then it’s probably going to be Coulson. At first I was just disinterested; after three seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I’m so fed up that I want nothing more to do with him, ever again.

Cool! I got into the Marvel fandom around December, so I’m actually relatively new myself. I’d read Marvel comics and seen Marvel movies and knew people in the fandom, but I didn’t get into it myself and then idk??? It just happened?? I had casually read a couple of stucky fics before but then I suddenly was reading everything I could get my paws on. And then there wasn’t enough of what I wanted, so I started to write it. 

personally, I call myself queer. I don’t fit a specific LGBT etc label and I like to reclaim the slur. like, I can call myself queer or my friend queer, but if someone else called me A Queer like it was something negative we’d have to fight. 

idk about should/shouldn’t. it either functions as a catch-all that works much better within real communities than lgbtquiaetc because it’s a fixed term that umbrellas everyone. or it functions as a personal opt-out from detailing the minutiae of your life for others: it’s a fucking mouthful to explain that I’m a pansexual polyamorous transmasculine guy, when I only want to tell someone I’m not straight.
