When you’re a nerd but the jocks let you hang.

So I rolled into Whiterun as the Altmer mage that I currently am, enter the bar, meet a lady decked out in full plate, she bets 100 gold that she can beat me in a fight. I win with a few hits. Go on to slay a dragon.

Later, decide to try and join the companions on a whim. They solve problems for money, I solve problems for money, a match made in Sovengarde, really! Not about to let a little thing like being a mage get in the way of cold hard cash!

They send me out to fight Vilkas, so I show him my stuff with a mild sparks spell to demonstrate but not kill, he starts yelling at me for using magic, the jocks are laughing at me, the head meangirl will probably spread rumors about me on her next hunting trip...

So I resorted to the only melee weapon I knew... THESE GUNS! The ones outside are commentating on the fight (something I didn’t know they could do) and I just start punching, everyone seems amused. Vilkas complements my arm, is he sarcastic? IDK, but it’s working! They are 300+ pounds of muscle, but me? I’m 120 pounds of white hot NERD RAGE. I’ve been told to cast my fancy magic elsewhere one. Too. Many. Times.

Anyway they let me join and the first job they send me out on? A brawl!

I think they liked my punching.
