During my time at PCA, we have dealt with architects, coding, detailing, interiors, and even financing. We looked at all branches that make up the firm and I have felt excitement and passion in exploring each and every one of them, thanks to the love that everyone here has for PCA.
The mentorship here feels fair, it feels valued, and here they underestand, that mentorship is inherent in architecture as part of growth. They treat you with respect, value your voice, ideas, skillset, and look for opportunities to support your passions. They relate themselves to you and show excitement when teaching about the firm and the work.
Every conversation with David was inspiring because you can feel his excitement when he speaks about PCA, the incredible work that they do, and the people here who make that possible. It can be scary to approach presidents as mentors but with David, you sense their passion and that passion truly radiates throughout the firm. Overall, I cannot say enough how meaningful this experience has been and how much I valued the mentorship at PCA.
Since its conception, PCA has been built upon the relationships they grow with their clients. Taking pride in their work, emphasizing trust, shared values, and building a rapport. PCA's vision is about fostering genuine human connections and valuing each other's visions. In a conversation with president and co-founder David Chilinski, we learned that one of their first clients also owns the building that houses their firm. This was made possible because of their impecabble work and workplace culture that champions relationships as a core principle. PCA was able to build a kind of trust and resprect that opened up unexpected opportunities and continues to do so in every project.
Ultimately, PCA has grown organically through a healthy client-architect relationship lens and I love every interaction we have! :) <3
IT LOOKS LIKE [magic]
The BAC and PCA are two sides of the same coin. Special places where special people are able to be themselves. Everyone feels encouraged to be their authentic self because there exists the support for them to discover their niche. Through their efforts with JEDI and mentorship, PCA exudes intercultural competence and it is reflected in the attitudes and conversations we've had these past two days.
So basically...A+
WORKPLACE [magic]
Since moving to Boston I have vitited multiple of PCA's projects, some of which I frequent almost on a weekly basis. They all have always felt like comfortable, safe, and helthy spaces. encourage community and wellbeing. Having now spent a day at the firm, I realize that the projects are a reflection of the firm culture which encourages community through mentorship and engagement, and wellbeing through healthy work-life balance.
BASICALLY...love love love :)
