As I delved into AIA Guide 6: Mentorship & Sponsorship, I gained insights into the essential skills and qualities that define both a mentor and a mentee. A mentor, ideally, possesses not only industry expertise but also the ability to actively listen, provide constructive feedback, and inspire growth. On the other hand, a mentee benefits from being receptive to guidance, demonstrating initiative, and being open to learning.

Reflecting on my experience at the host office, the atmosphere was nothing short of welcoming and kind. The team exuded a sense of trust, enabling seamless communication where seeking help and sharing suggestions were second nature. The constructive atmosphere created a space where everyone uplifted each other, fostering a collaborative and supportive community.
