Aoife cursed under her breath when she realized the person she’d just told off was a Tulach. “Sorry” she said quickly. “I didn’t realize it was you.” She shoved the file folder back in a cabinet and turned to give him her full attention. “Is that so? Well at least he gave somebody competent the job.” Maybe this way the infirmary would stay stocked on whatever supplies they needed. She nodded at his last question. “I’m the surgeon on the Raging Tsunami” she said, a hint of pride in her voice.

Genevieve was working late in the warehouse, doing inventory to see what supplies were running low and needed to be replenished on the next run to the mainland. Hearing footsteps approaching her, she glanced up to see her younger son. “Well hello stranger” she said, giving him a warm smile, one reserved for those she was closest to. “I was starting to think you were too old to spend time with your maman” she teased.
