Park Seo-joon’s MCU character made his debut in the new trailer for The Marvels.

This is what I thought it was when I saw the trailer. Park Seo-joon is playing Prince Yan of Aladna, a planet in Marvel Comics where inhabitants sing. It was introduced in the "Lila Cheney's Fantabulous Technicolor Rock Opera" story by Kelly Sue DeConnick.

In Yan's world, men are not allowed a say in who they marry and there is a fight for his hand in marriage that Carol gets involved with.

The fanboys are going to hate it so naturally I'm excited.

(I imagine Zawe Ashton's character, Kree General Dar-benn, is forcing him to marry her, expanding Kree territory?)
