tell me about your lambket, please!
I hope I didn't send you this twice
Yeah sure!! And you didn't send it to me twice dw :]
I havent spent much time on this au (only just decided to call it either NoEvil or something to do with stars and mirrors!) So their dynamic is subject to change, but what I do know is it's based heavily on my actual playthrough. But without further ado!
The Playthrough Influence
Much like most bishop lamb ships it started as enemies to lovers, and Nemesis only really began to fall for Heket after they pulled back on their tyranny. By this point they were married as Nemesis married every bishop knowing how much they'd loathe being tied to their usurper, but it wasnt until Heket was killed in a battle against a (very loyal) cultist did Nemesis realize they cared very much for Heket, doubly so when (I) they didnt have the bones necessary to revive her right away, opting to imprison her killer in hopes they'd starve to death.
A silly extra note is when I was able to bring Heket back the follower had grown elderly, so I released them from prison and had them battle. Somehow Heket LOST so I wound up murdering the follower in the dead of night witnesses be dammed. So because I had a favorite and am insanely petty towards fictional characters for the sake of the bit™, that right there is basically the start of their ✨️blossoming relationship✨️
I'd like to imagine Heket was the one who inadvertently named Nemesis, given that she seemed to be the most ruthless towards the Lamb (at least if I recall. I know shes the only one who'd call you a coward if you kneel and turn every realm into battle zones if you don't), so perhaps after Lamb's many deaths (This is where it diverges from my playthrough because it was actually Kallimar that gave me the most trouble) Heket made a snide remark about them being her greatest pain, and Nemesis being the prideful sheep they are, decided to *fully* lean into it and make being the bishops' downfall their entire personality.
Also, Heket is a god of famine. So I think it'd be cute if she really takes a liking to their cooking when they *do* cook for the cult, and began seeking them out specifically whenever she was hungry. This eventually leads to Nemesis seeking out special ingredients and trying new recipes Heket may like (they'd deny it vehemently whenever Narinder questions them, saying they'd rather maintain the loyalty of the bishops no matter the cost and if that's going to be achieved by special recipes then so be it.)
Despite Nemesis's denial it really *doesn't* take them long for them to start dating, I think right after almost losing Heket is the moment they're forced to admit to themselves that they care for the bishop, and Heket caught on once the usually cruel god spared her after losing such a pitiful battle.
And thats it so far! Im developing a fic so I'd imagine this is either subject to change or there will be more tacked onto it (there is. It's bouncing around in my brain, I just have to find it). Thank you for the ask!! Have a small lambket doodle :]
