Izuku and Shouta are dating, Hitoshi is a mutual friend of theirs, who acts like a feral cat and enjoys causing chaos, itâs why he gets on so well with the both of them. If he and Izuku have a sleepover because theyâve just finished a mission together, and Shoutaâs out working a night shift, Hitoshi will send him a video of him pecking his boyfriend on the forehead, a saccharine âgoodnight honey bunchâ on his lips, then ends the video with him flipping off Shouta. Shouta, in retaliation, decides to hunt him for sport for his grievances because heâs not about to let that slide.

Whenever Inko is out with her six year old son, Izuku, heâll carry loads of stickers to hand out to every person they see on their outing. Most accept the sticker if they donât notice his shoes first because as soon as they do thatâs when their kindness evaporates, but, Izuku doesnât give up because thereâs only one person whoâs seen his shoes and not given him a hard time for it. Thereâs a black haired boy with eyes the colour of liquid gold when the sun hits them who they always bump into when theyâre out. Inkoâs pretty sure the boy canât be more than a couple years older than her boy. The boy has never said his name, and she can tell Izukuâs been itching to ask, but, knows better to be patient. Sheâs also noticed that he treats Shouta a tad different than everybody else, they get to choose which sticker they get. For this boy in particular he doesnât get to pick which sticker he gets, instead, he gets given Izukuâs favourite sticker from that pack. After the first couple of times the boy received the stickers from Izuku, he realised it wasnât going to stop, and felt terrible about not giving anything in return, so, he started giving him his favourite, most smoothest and prettiest rocks that he could find. Inko has to actively stop herself from squealing every time they interact because sheâs obsessed with penguins, and she knows that penguins are one of the most loyal creatures out there because they choose one partner to spend the rest of their lives with. One of the ways they show how in love they are is by giving each other presents (mainly rocks, but, she reckons stickers can work just as well considering her boys arenât birds) she can tell that this is only going to grow into something beautiful. Sheâd be right, it only takes a year for them to find out that the boyâs name is Shouta, and that heâs only a year older than Izuku. They start hanging out more, even going as far as going to each otherâs houses. They make friends with Shoutaâs parents and they have dinner together. Inko watches as their boysâ eyes soften and hands linger as they get older. Sheâs not surprised when her boys (theyâre grown men to everyone else, but, sheâll always consider them to be her boys) come home one day for dinner to tell her theyâre dating. Thereâs a lot of tears and tissues, but, ultimately sheâs ecstatic for them.
(Content warning: brief mention of blood from lip bite)
Izuku offered Shouta lip balm because he noticed his lips were dry and cracking. Shouta, the delusional man he is, doesnât think his lips are all that dry, so, Izuku asks him if he can prove it to him. He nods, jolts a little in surprise when he finds himself being kissed, but, gets with the program quickly because heâs not going to miss being kissed by his boyfriend for anything. Izukuâs hands are in his hair, thereâs not a single thought in his head, except, Izukuâs kissing me. I love you. I need you. Kiss me more. Kiss me until we both canât breathe. I canât live without you. I donât want to live without him. Let me live inside of you. Live inside of me, so, weâre never apart again. He melts into the kiss, twining his arms round Izukuâs waist, bringing him closer, resting his hands on the small of his back, enjoying how Izuku feels under his hands as he glides his fingertips up and down. He gasps a little when he feels Izuku bite his bottom lip gently, and because itâs so dry it cracks, bleeding a little. He tries to chase Izuku when he pulls away, only noticing the sting when he licks his lips still yearning to taste Izuku. He pouts frowns as he grabs a tissue and dabs at it carefully putting pressure on it, making sure the bleeding stopped. He holds his hand out with a sigh to a giggling Izuku who places the lip balm on his palm. He grumbles about how having dry lips during the summer shouldnât be a thing with how humid it gets, and decides itâs pretty stupid that every time you lick your lips your drying them out. He puts it on, pulls Izuku back in for a kiss because once just isnât enough. He could spend forever doing this and only this if it meant he could be with Izuku.
Got this vivid image of Izuku accidentally getting Shouta into crime tv shows because he doesnât watch much television, and wanted to spend more time with Izuku. Heâs sat himself down on the sofa with his arm curled round Izukuâs shoulder and started watching. Except, heâs appalled at what heâs seeing, and very quickly finds himself unwillingly being suckered in. He canât believe how much these characters get away with, how many laws are broken, as well as how shady they are. He makes notes as he watches in disbelief because he doesnât want to have to repeatedly pause because thatâll just be an inconvenience to the both of them. However, as soon as the episode is over heâll rant Izukuâs ears off. Meanwhile, Izuku will be laid down on the sofa, head propped up on his elbow and twirling his hair between his fingers, kicking his feet back and forth as he listens because he loves how passionate Shouta gets.
Raising a dragon hatchling was nothing like anything Izuku had experienced before.
It was chaotic.
It was exhausting.
It was also the most beautiful thing in the world.
Every single moment of their childâs life was filled with something newânew discoveries, new trouble, and new reasons for Shouta to stress himself into an early grave.
And Izuku?
Well.
He had never loved anything more.
{
âShouta, I think theyâre eating a rock.â
âWhat?!â
Shouta immediately turned from where he had been cleaning his claws, his golden eyes locking onto their hatchlingâwho, indeed, was chewing on a large rock.
Izuku blinked. âOh, never mind. They spat it out.â
Shouta groaned, dragging a hand down his face. âTheyâre going to kill me.â
Izuku grinned, watching as their child, completely unbothered, pounced on a butterfly. âYouâre the one who said you wanted to be a parent.â
Shouta sighed. âI didnât realize parenting involved stopping them from eating the environment.â
Izuku chuckled, shaking his head. âTheyâll be fine.â
Shouta gave him a look. âYou say that now, but in ten minutes, theyâre going to find something else to put in their mouth.â
Izuku glanced back at their childâwho was now trying to swallow a fistful of dirt.
He sighed. ââŚOkay, maybe you have a point.â
Shouta groaned again.
{
Their hatchling had been growing fast.
Too fast.
Their little wings had strengthened, their legs becoming steadier, their teeth sharper.
And one day, after weeks of watching their parents hunt, they decidedâ
âI wanna hunt too!â
Izuku immediately beamed. âThatâs great! You canââ
âAbsolutely not,â Shouta interrupted, crossing his arms. âToo dangerous.â
Izuku rolled his eyes. âShouta, they need to learn eventually.â
âNot yet.â
âTheyâre literally a dragon.â
âThey are a baby dragon.â
Their child huffed, puffing up indignantly. âIâm not a baby!â
Shouta gave them a look. âYou still trip over your own tail.â
Their hatchling growled, flaring their tiny wings. âThat was one time.â
âIt was yesterday.â
Izuku smothered a laugh, nudging Shouta. âCâmon, we can go with them. We wonât let them get hurt.â
Shouta exhaled through his nose, clearly unhappy but outnumbered.
âFine.â
Their child immediately let out an excited chirp, bouncing in place. âIâm gonna catch the biggest prey!â
Izuku grinned, ruffling their hair. âI believe in you.â
Shouta sighed. âThis is going to be a disaster.â
It was.
Their hatchling tried their best, really.
But their idea of âhuntingâ was jumping onto a deerâs back and clinging to it while it ran in circles, screaming.
Izuku wheeze-laughed.
Shouta sighed so hard it could have knocked down a tree.
âGet them off,â he grumbled.
Izuku, still laughing, gently swooped in and plucked their hatchling off the deer, who immediately bolted into the trees.
Their child pouted. âI almost had it!â
âSure you did, love,â Izuku chuckled, pressing a kiss to their forehead. âMaybe next time.â
Shouta just shook his head, already regretting his life choices.
{
As time passed, something changed in Izuku.
He had been terribly protective in the beginningâterritorial, restless, guarding their child and Shouta like a dragon hoarding treasure.
But after weeks of adjusting, his protectiveness became something else.
Something feral.
Something their child inherited.
It started with small thingsâIzuku casually baring his teeth at a bird that got too close, flaring his wings at a passing fox, snarling when Shouta tried to move their nest around.
And their hatchling?
They copied everything.
One day, Shouta walked into the den and found them both crouched over their food, growling at nothing, tails lashing.

âMy hands are cold.â Izukuâs rubbing his hands together in a desperate, yet, futile attempt to generate some warmth. Before he left his flat to go hang out with Shouta, he checked the weather app to see if he needed to bring anything with him like an umbrella or gloves. It displayed sunny with clear skies all day, so, he didnât wear gloves or bring a pair with him. He also didnât think heâd need to wear them because of how nice the weather had been recently, so, he went without, which heâs now regretting because the weather took a severe turn, and he canât feel his fingers.
âIs that a pick up line?â
â..No?â Izukuâs too cold to even think about how what he said couldâve been interpreted as a pick up line. Shouta grabs his hands to hold them, quietly hissing at how cold they are against his own that heâs kept toasty warm.
â..Your hands are freezing.â He brings Izukuâs hands to his mouth to blow on them simultaneously rubbing them between his own. He tries not to notice how Izuku shivers, or think about how much he enjoys getting that reaction from him. He figures itâs because Izukuâs finally feeling warmth after being so cold. He tries not to think about how Izuku would react if he were to press his lips to his hands instead.
âIf I had to go, I'd like to go out just as beautifully.â
There are fireworks going on in the background, Shouta can barely focus on them. Heâs too focused on looking at Izukuâs face. Thereâs a peculiar expression that Shouta canât decipher, but it almost seemed as if Izuku looked to be at peace when talking about potentially dying. Which has Shouta despairing because he knows that if he ever lost Izuku itâd destroy him. So he says the first thing that comes to mind.
âIâd really prefer if you didnât go at all.â
