Airplane James – “FWU”
An affiliate of Problem‘s Diamond Lane Music Group, Los Angeles-reared musician Airplane James is hard at work on his forthcoming full-length project Eastside Special. Following performances at SXSW, James drops his new single “FWU.” “This is a South Central love story. I wanted to do it over Tony! Toni! Toné!’s ‘Anniversary,’ that’s one of my favorite joints and I felt nobody flipped it the right way. I wanted to do it justice,” James said to Hypebeast. “The concept behind this was just to showcase that an east side LA [guy] could be vulnerable and to just take a swerve out of the norm of the glorified streets, and put a spotlight on what else goes on in the hood, something real. Something genuine, that’s relatable to all.” Listen to it below.

Saturday evening we teamed up with Tally Parties Reloaded and dropped in on Problem of Diamond Lane Music Group for his Chachiville mixtape release session at Fampion X Clothing store, located on Melrose Blvd. Fellow Diamond Lane affiliates extended their support and turned up with ya boy throughout the event, along with fans and peers of the music and entertainment industry. Towards the end of the event, a lucky fan got to walk away with tickets for himself and friends to see Problem perform live at the Troubadour on the 17th of this month in Hollywood.
