Only 5 nosebleeds and hella procedures + tests later....
Ever so casually has these on her 2025 bingo board..... • 4 hour nosebleed (5 nosebleeds total) • 5 days of bpm at 170 or above (maxed at 211) • an hour ambulance ride • a three hospital admission situation (OR, Knox, Lexington KY) • airlifted almost three hours away (taking a car), airlift was 45min to 90min - and I'm horribly scared of flying so also ° first ever flight • has a 7 unit (7 bags of blood) exchange transfusion/apheresis (there were only 3 probes for the procedure but because of my vasculature? Did the insertions twice. So that's six probes total) • minor venous thrombosis in my left arm after said treatment • oh and I coughed up some hella phlegm from that nosebleed ° all after encountering both vagus nerve AND sciatic nerve damage at the beginning of February from an impromptu port surgery that happened She Brave, She Sturdy, She's just "Built different" (idk y'all 🤷🏾♀️
First admitted July 1st, Disability Awareness Month
Nosebleed 1. Lasted 4hrs, started July 3rd Nosebleed 2. Lasted 2hrs, started July 10th Nosebleed 3. Lasted 3hrs, started July 11th Nosebleed 4. Lasted 3hrs, started July 13th Nosebleed 5. Lasted 2hrs, started July 16th Absolutely exhausted. Definitely a trooper. Ever unwavering. They don't call us Sickle Cell Warriors for no reason ⚘️
