Help a man from Gaza get medical treatment for his father?

Ahmed Mazen Hammad ( @mazen-fmaily ) is from Gaza, and needs our urgent support. Donations are slow, and need to pick up momentum.

As stated in this post (by @ana-bananya), Ahmed's father has multiple illnesses, like hepatitis, heart and kidney disease.

He needs daily medice and life support - daily dialysis treatments and oxygen to keep him alive and as healthy as possible. This is difficult in Gaza, as hospitals are desperately low on supplies, and are crowded and repeatedly targeted.

Now, $400+ is needed for and urgent liver resection. Ahmed dosen't want to lose his father, and if we reach this goal, it can litterally save his life.

They also need food in water, but due to the Israeli occupation being cruel and inflicting genocide and humiliating conditions, that is a heavy task.

While going to one of the "aid" centres, where soldiers have confessed to firing at civillians, Ahmed's foot was severely injured, and he needs surgery to reconnect the tendons in his leg. His leg risks amputation.

Imagine being the sole one responsible for your father, relying on a slow fundraiser to pay for your father's much needed treatment, and becoming disabled because you tried to look for desperately needed food. All of this on top of the terrible conditions on Gaza and threat of airstrikes. We cannot even fathom these experiences.

For the sake of engagement, here are some of my most recent drawings.

Back in the spring, I had to leave my job for a severe mental health crisis. It was desperately, desperately needed, and I'm doing much better now.

Thankfully I was covered for 4 of those months by the government - but now it's run out. I'm working my way through applying for disability, but in the meantime, I have 0$ in income.

I'm 300$ (ish) overdrawn in my checking account. My credit cards have been maxed out and I owe them a few hundred, too. Not to mention, my mom's been covering her bills and my bills on her hourly wage job.

We're spread thin - my partner has been a huge help, my mom has been a huge help, my sibling lent me chunks here and there. But we can't keep up much longer.

I'm starting to apply for jobs. In the meantime, I have *7* cats that need feeding - four of which are little 3 week old kittens. We can't relocate mama and her kittens, and I'm running out of food for them all. My last 35$ will be going towards food for my sweet kitties. They need nutrients to grow big and strong!!

So please, *please*, if you have anything to spare - I'm be incredibly grateful if you sent it my way. Even five bucks. Or 1$!! I just gotta keep these sweet kitties afloat til I can generate my own income.

hey everyone. i was trying not to make this post but i really need the community help here. i'm in an extremely tight spot after i moved this past summer to escape a bad family situation, especially since i have chronic health issues that my current insurance hasn't been able to cover the appointments for. as a trans plural system with extreme anxiety, it's been hard for me to find other ways to make money besides my part-time jobs, and my medical debt this month has made me fall behind on rent, leaving me without money for groceries or food for my cats, who i just can't live without.

i'm asking for help with the total cost of my medical debt, but honestly, any amount you can give is enough to help me feed misty and mari in the meantime. if we can meet the goal of $300 for rent before 2/28, that would take a big weight of my shoulders at least for this month. you can also check out my writing commissions if you want to support me and get some poetry or fic in the process.
