@skwehr hi
Old enough to remember all the offensive jokes that were cut from the reupload
:((( wow your life is so tragic because people think you're a gross for getting off on nasty shit
i will keep this brief considering you offered nothing constructive in your message.
i’m not sure what made you think that i consider myself a victim because of a post on tumblr dot com i decided to reply to, but anyway, back to your ask. i don’t subscribe to the well-meaning and arbitrary notion that fictional depiction of a criminal or immoral act in any other way that is not a social commentary—or, in case of fandom & fanfiction, issuefic—implies that i or anyone else personally find the subject arousing. fiction ≠ reality.
Two best friends update
Watching the shitstorm. I really love these boys, you know?

See the Eyepatch of Power? That's the power of reading, kids!
(Yes, this is my reply/reblog to the Avengers of Learning post because Levar Burton deserves his own post and I am inordinately proud of my MS Paint skills)
The Ohio State University Marching Band - TBDBITL Halftime 10-6-12 Video games Nebraska (by handmrow gobucks)
It's a video game inspired marching band performance. Pretty sure you'll end up watching through the whole thing (I did and I usually have such a short attention span, I fast forward a lot).
One of the best halftime shows I've ever seen! And it proves you don't need superstars or any real special effects to entertain a bored audience waiting for the game to resume. Just some creativity!
Mystery of the Soccer King Anime Solved!
I visited my relatives in Taiwan for the summer when I was around 10 or so. There, I got hooked on this soccer anime that was dubbed in Chinese. The Chinese title of the anime was translated to "足球王" which means Football King. However, I had to leave Taiwan when it got to the good part to my everlasting regret.
So, once I got on the internet, I of course did a search on the anime. But at the time, my Chinese typing and pinyin skills sucked so I didn't make much headway with a search when I was limited to English. When I was in college and thus, more confident in my Chinese internet navigating skills (honed through my search for Korean dramas as the Chinese subtitling teams are soooo much faster than waiting around for the English subtitles), I tried another search but hit a dead end since the Chinese title is just too generic and my childhood memory of the details were too murky to allow for any additional details to help filter out the search results.
But I just tried again and perhaps it was a mix of Google now having a better way of sorting through results as well as the greatly increased size of the Internet in general and my much improved grasp of Chinese web surfing (due to my obsessive reading of online light novels) but now I have more information. Even though, this mystery doesn't matter to anyone reading this but I was just so happy that I had to make a post about it.
The soccer anime I watched in Taiwan is actually a Chinese dub of an anime from Japan and not actually a native Taiwanese animation, which turned out to be a red herring result I got because of some wrong information I gathered from a English language fan site created on the Chinese dubbed version of the anime. Although I still couldn't find actual video samples of the Chinese version I knew in my childhood, I'm 100% certain that I've found the original. I just watched the Japanese version of the OP and ED of the anime and even though it's really weird to watch for me when I only knew the Chinese version and it's so 80s, I could only think, "Yup, that's it."
Anyway, here is the info for this soccer anime I'm going ballistic over (I've been in a sports anime mood since I usually watch anime during my meals):
Name: ゴールFH / Goal FH (Field Hunter)
Other Languages: Goleadores (Spanish) / 足球王 (Chinese) / Jedenastka Marzeń (Polish) / Форварды (Russian) / هجوم الكابتن ثابت (Arabic)
Episodes: 39 (30 minutes)
Year: 1994
Synopsis: A cheerful young Japanese man, Tatsumura Hikaru (龍村光), returns from Brazil to Japan to fulfill his dream of becoming a great player.
OMFG, look at how cheesy the picture is! But I love it!
Now, if only I can track down a copy...
