Small changes on the Homologa menu...
We have made some minor changes on the Homologa menu. There is now an extra tab about "How to access" the database. For the users, nothing has changed. You can login as usually and inside your login, everything remains the same.
Don't hesitate to contact us via the "contacts" page if you need any help, advice or information...

Frequently asked questions by new Homologa users
Questions about MRLs:
1. How are the future MRLs shown?
When there are several values in the same cell, the second one represents the MRL value that will be implemented in the future.
We display the future MRLs in the following way:
“0.05 0.02 12/07”
This means that the MRL currently applicable is 0.05 PPM and that an MRL of 0.02 will be applied in the future. The third item in the cell is the date from which the future value will be applied (month/year format).
“0.05 0.02 ?”
In this case, we do not know the date of application of the future value 0.02, so we mark it as '?'.
“NO 0.02 08/07”
This means we do not have the actual MRL but we have the future MRL and the date from which it will be applied.
2. What if there is no MRL?
If no MRL exists for the country/crop/active combination I am looking for, where can I find the information about default MRLs?
Where no specific MRL is listed in the results, a general default MRL may apply. You can find the specific legislation by country concerning the default MRLs in the module “Comments on countries” under the menu point “Mrls”.
Questions about registered products:
1. Can I find the strains of the biological substances?
Not yet, but will introduce them during the next months.
2. How do I find the off-label and temporary registrations?
You find this information in the field "Reg.Type" in the module "brand-level with crops". This information is also available in the alert/download option in the report type "Products/Crops details" in the column "Reg.Type"
3. Where do I find the registration date?
You find this information in the field "Reg.Date" in the module "brand-level with crops”. In order to view the “Reg.Date” column, you need to click on “crop details”. Or you can find it in the alert/download option in the report type "Products/Crops details" in the column "Reg.Date". For older products it is well possible that there is no date available.
4. Where do I find the dose rates, PHIs etc…?
You find this information in the field "Dose Rate" in the module "brand-level with crops". In order to view the “Dose Rate” column, you need to click on “crop details”. Or you can find it in the alert/download option in the report type "Products/Crops details" in the column "Dose Rate". For older products it is well possible that there is no date available.
The above questions all refer to the same module “brand-level with crops” and consequently to the same alert/download report type “Products/Crops details”. In the alert/download report you have all the columns whereas online, for the time being, you need to go on “Crop Details” to view the registrations date and the dose rates.
Online reports -> Product Registrations -> Brand-level with crops:
Alert/download reports -> Complete data -> Products/Crops Details:
5. Where can I find the risk phrases?
You can find them by clicking on the “phrases” link in the modules: Brand-level and brand-level with crops.
If you need reports with risk phrases for many products, please contact us.
6. What does “crop original” mean?
To be able to compare crop information on international level we have to allocate specific crops imprecise crop definitions like 'other vegetables'. To show the user what was originally meant we add the original crop name in the column “Crop Orig.”.
7. Where to find the last update dates?
Click here and you will get the list that you can sort by date or country.
8. How to find parallel imports?
You will find this information in all alert modules where the product registrations are shown. You also can add the corresponding fields in the online module by adding the “Para.Import” column to the report.
and then select the column “Para.Import” and add it to the “Display in Report” selection field.
Then press “Apply” and the column will be added to the end of the report. In the “Display in Report” field, you can change the order of the columns.
9. Why do we not have the Latin pest name for all cases?
Many sources of data or labels are not specific and only give us a general name like 'sucking insects' or 'bugs'. We do not know how to translate it in the correct Latin name and therefore leave it as it is in the original data source.
We hope that these short answers will help you to work with Homologa.
Please note that if you have any questions, suggestions or need further informations, do not hesitate to contact us. You will find our contact details in the “Contacts” tab directly in Homologa.
