NEW CHAPTER
Coco/Agott Headcanons:
There is a severe lack of headcanons in the Witch Hat Atelier fandom! There also isnât as much Coco/Agott cutesy stuff so here we go:
Agott refuses to acknowledge that she has a crush on Coco.
Her? Crushing when she is focusing on becoming a Librarian Witch? Ridiculous!
She just has grown to admire her talent as an outsider...
And her smiles...
And her selflessness
Her passion for magic...
How she is confident in her, regardless of what has happened...
She is absolutely not blushing!
But is she good at hiding her crush? Mostly...
except when Coco hugs her, grazes her arm, and compliments her to the moon and back.
Of course Tetita and Riche suspect something.
Qifrey too, but he doesnât pry (open to listen to Agott if she ever comes to him).
Tetita tries everything in her power to have Coco and Agott together to bond.
âOh I JuST goTta GeT soMe stUff~!â-Tetita, through the art of subtlety, leaves the two.
Coco, oblivious to this, is whimsical with the idea of having Agott privately mentoring her.
The two have been having a lot of private magic sessions together.
(Agott will just say itâs because they share the same room).
Coco will take any opportunity to request to brush Agottâs hair.
The first time Agott allowed her made Coco die of happiness.
Riche, being blunt, is like âyou have a crush on Cocoâ to Agott one day and the raven head almost trips over.
And of course Agott denies this... while blushing... Not so convincing.
Riche is tired of the two dancing around each other and gives up.

Agott/Coco
Sequel to the German College.
canon divergence, road trips, there was only one bed, a LOT of introspection, educational trauma, aged-up characters (linear nature of time sequel nature of fic etc. etc.) MANGA SPOILERS.
Agott has known she liked girls since forever, probably, and was fine with it. Whatever. She had bigger problems, such as making all of her spells perfect all the time. And then there was Coco.
And it wasnât that Coco was her first crush, but first it was that Coco was breaking the rules and then it was that Coco visibly loved magic in a way that Agott never had, never had even thought to. Magic was like her hands: it was just a part of her. It was something she could do, like breathing. Why would she love it? Coco taught her how.
When she confessed, almost a year later, they were close enough that they stayed friends when Coco said, haltingly, that she didnât like girls. Agott was her best friend, and she was Agottâs, and that was more important, actually. Also, they were thirteen. Agott knew it wouldnât have lastedâ if she didnât then, she knew it later. It was easy to dismiss the wants of your childhood self, in hindsightâ anyways, everyone knew there was no such thing as a good decision when you were thirteen. Being best friends was much more comfortable, anywaysâ Agott didnât have to think about that squirmy thing in her stomach that surfaced at the thought of involving herself in romance, or (ew) kissing.

mayhaps a Witch Hat/Howl's Moving Castle fusion?
Ooooh not only is this a FUN one but it is one I have thought about before!
â
Before Coco got herself cursed, sheâd always thought sheâd live and die a tailor in that little town, where nothing exciting actually happened. The most interesting thing to ever happen to Market Chipping was when the train station got built ten years ago, and when people come out from Kingbury and Kahln. Coco is willing to believe that interesting things happen, of course, but interesting things donât happen to herâ they happen to interesting people. Like witches!!
This is what she tells herself, to keep herself from getting too bored.
Actually, the most interesting thing to happen in Market Chipping happened three months ago, when the girl down the street saw the Wizard Agateâs castle in the fog creeping about the hillsâ but thatâs terrifying, not not interesting at all.
They say the Wizard Agate eats the heart of any pretty girl she finds out on her own, that she peels the magic from other witches, that she does all manner of madness in her quest for power.
But, well, Coco isnât a pretty girl anymore, now that sheâs nineteen-going-on-ninety, and she was never a witch to start out with. And she canât bother her poor mother with all this, not after that business with placing her sisters in nice apprenticeships. Maybe the Wizard will even feel like breaking her curse! Maybe the Wizard will teach her some magic! Not wizardry, since you have to be born with the talent to be a wizard, but maybe a bit of witchcraft!
Probably she wonât, but being an old lady is good for hope! Whatâs the worst that will happen, anyways?
â
âWho the hell are you?â The womanâ Wizard Agate, since it couldnât be anyone else but herâ said. She was, shockingly, wearing trousers. Coco couldnât imagine ever being so scandalous, but she figured one must get used to it after some time.Â
Oh no.Â
âIâm your new cleaning lady!â Coco said.Â
Wizard Agate took a long drink of whatever was in her mug. âWhy,â she said, but not like a question.Â
âBecause you need one,â Coco said, and since Wizard Agate hadnât eaten her heart yet, she dared a little further. âReally badly.â
Wizard Agate pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed, dramatically and showily. âFine, whatever.â
Coco would have danced in joy if her bones didnât protest to the thought. âI promise you wonât regret it!â She said.Â
âI already do,â the Wizard said, and reached behind Coco to shut the door. She was taller than Coco, as she was, and probably wouldâve been taller than Coco as she had been, too. Her outfit made her look even taller, long straight pants with pin folds that went all the way up to a long blue and silver vest over a fine shirt with flounces on the sleeves.Â
