When Nick wandered, he sang. Â Often loudly. Â Both in the presence of others and alone.
âSumer is a cuminin, wunder sing, coocoo. Groweth sed and bloweth med and spring the wunder-nu.â A pause for a breath.  âSing COOO COOOOO.â This part came out as more of a bray than anything else, but Bottom did not even flinch.  Instead, he  kept singing.
The forest, as far as he could tell, was empty. Â And, like the nights that came before, this was more a disappointment than anything else. Â Everywhere he sought glimpses of silver and the sound of bells but not once did he see her. His faerie queen. Â His Titania. Â But just the same he trekked forward.
