His quiet confession brings a smile to Eve’s lips. They’d left the restaurant later than expected, so knowing that Daisy would already be in bed decided to take a short walk along the river before heading home. He has an arm around her and she’s leaning into his touch when they come to a stop, both looking out over the river.

She turns her gaze to him, still amazed by how quickly he’s settled into this new role. To think how scared she’d been to tell him when he’d first arrived back in London. Certain that he would want nothing to do with either of them.

   He stared at Bond, face emotionless, not giving away what was on his mind. Bond just had a way to annoy him, he knew where to itch, what buttons to push; but this was different. He hadn’t blown something up, hadn’t killed someone seemingly on random; no headlines in the newspapers. In fact, this conversation was calm, compared to all the others they’d had in the past. Still the agent never seemed to know the boundaries and when he was overstepping a line. “I believe I don’t have to justify anything to you,” M told him remarkably calmly. “May I remind you, Bond, that it’s usually you who keeps secrets from me?”

Q laughs as each text from Bond pops up on his phone.

Would my muse save yours? Absolutely.

Does my muse find your muse attractive? Hello? Yes, of course she does

Is my muse disgusted by yours? Never disgusted, no. Disappointed at times, angry at times, but never disappointed. 

would my muse go on a date with your muse? Been there, done that, would do again.

would my muse kiss yours? All day.

would my muse betray yours? Not a chance.

my muse’s favorite thing about yours is ____ That he gave her Daisy and was willing to build a family with her.

It's their first Christmas as a family, and though there are many things that still need to be ironed out between them, Eve’s glad for Daisy to finally get a Christmas with her father. Cup of coffee in hand, she’s watching Daisy play with one of the dolls from her stocking when she hears James approaching.

She smiles at him affectionately - it’s hard not to today of all days, even if she still doesn’t know what they are yet. His focus isn’t on Daisy when he gets an amused look on his face, and it’s only when Eve looks up that she notices the sprig of mistletoe and understands why.
