I'm not a fan of Political Compass, not least because its libertarian/authoritarian scale makes little sense. I imagine Vote Compass has placed the Greens where they are on the economic scale because they have come out very strong this time around in saying that much more investment must be made in environmental sustainability at almost any cost; even if that means deficit financing, hiking taxes, and opposing all pipelines.

When you're sharing voter information, there is a secret you can share with people if you'd like. They don't advertise it, but once an Elections Canada returning office is set up for a riding, any resident of that riding can go there to vote by special ballot any day after the writ is dropped at any time the office is open. Just note that the returning office for one's riding may not actually be in that riding; returning offices tend to do double, triple, or quadruple riding duty.
