Well her main argument were the Berber people, but I never listened to her because I don't listen to non-black people who try to dictate blackness (she got angry when I told her that I have a friend who's black and has a Moroccan mother who I met and looked Afro Arab. I finally did some research on these indigenous Africans and this is what I found

The Berber identity is usually wider than language and ethnicity, and encompasses the entire history and geography of North Africa. Berbers are not a homogeneous ethnicity and they encompass a range of phenotypes, societies and ancestries. The unifying forces for the Berber people could be their Berber language, belonging to the Berber homeland, or a collective identification with the Berber heritage and history.

Once again, colonization means that the current people of the race are very ethnically different than their ancestors. But I thought that was just common fucking sense. (i.e. Native Americans, African Americans, Egyptians etc. etc.)
