I remember meeting you and thinking wow, she’s so comfortable with who she is and has great taste in clothes! And I’m thinking back now, and the first time we really hung out together was that time I randomly decided to go sleep in your apartment at like 5 in the morning or something like that? I WAS SO SCARED WALKING DOWN THE STREET because I was like, a freshman, and I was like oh my gosh I’m gonna get killed walking down Freret asdfghjkl. Oh and we lent each other clothes, which is really funny because we always could wear each other’s clothes, but I swear you’re like a foot taller than me or something. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ 

Hanging out with you is always excellent! You’re this wonderful blend of past and present and like, future (you’re a time lord???). I’m not sure how else to describe it. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Omg, there was that one Valentine’s Day where I was hurting so, so, so badly over that breakup and you decided that we should protest/celebrate the day simultaneously by wearing wedding dresses? Like that’s exactly the kind of thing that I would totally do but probably wouldn’t have actually done unless it was with you. And I remember you and me and Madelyn (okay, but mostly me) crying and wearing wedding dresses, and it was the most bizarre and most comforting thing ever. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ 

I think I went under a social justice makeover when I was at Loyola, and you were such a huge part of that. Like I never had to look for you when I was living in New Orleans because you’d always pop up at some point (New Orleans is a small city/we hang out with all the same people?). (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Uh, let’s see. This is going to get really discombobulated now because HOW DO I PUT THE WORDS IN ORDER. You’ve overcome so much adversity in your life and inspire people to love themselves. You’re one of the most creative if not the most creative person I’ve ever met. YOU ARE REALLY GOOD AT TAKING PEOPLE OUT ON DATES. :D I think watching you try to figure out the next step after life handed you so many curveballs inspired me to be more creative with my life and just, like, gave me hope in general. I think your writing journey is really inspirational, and I find that I relate to a lot of your posts (I think I have like 3 chapters of that fanfiction collaboration written and tucked away somewhere on my harddrive LOL). You’re one of the people who really encouraged me to start writing again (which was a huge deal, especially last summer when I was so burnt out from college and just couldn’t even see it–I just didn’t feel like doing anything, and then all of a sudden I was like BUT WHAT IF WE WRITE THISSS???). I greatly love exchanging headcanons with you. You always think in such possibilities, and you bring up all these things I haven’t seen. I think I have like 25 pages or something of our conversations saved on my computer, and I look through them when I need a pick-me-up (or when I’m like, working under deadline on the biggest profile I’ve ever written and generally can’t calm down). I think you’re super brave and way more capable than I am to work in retail. Oh my gosh. I see your horror stories, and I’m like YOU ARE A SAINT. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ 

When I was flying to China, I remember stopping at each layover point and responding to your Tumblr messages with the airport wifi, which wasn’t much but actually was everything to me because I was scared out of my wits. Internet friends are awesome. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Sam, darling, I feel like we’ve kind of gone through this nearly parallel journey in college together. You were like this common theme that kept popping up, and even though we both got really busy with our different fields of study, our paths kept crossing just enough? You have excellent taste in music! You are also so true to yourself and like, patient (at least I think so). You’re a great person to talk to, even if you don’t know anything about the situation I’m personally going through. You give good advice in general and just give off calm awesome friendship vibes. So I was thinking the other day, and I was like omg there was a time when I didn’t know Gen? That’s so crazy. She’s so cool, and I can always go talk to her about fandom things because we have that whole soulmate thing going on. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ 

You’re so intelligent, and I always learn things from talking to you, and this is going to sound really dumb, but like, stuff I learn in life, or whatever I’m into, is always heavily influenced by what I’m watching on TV (or just the stories I’m consuming at the moment), and since you’ve basically recommended everything I’ve been watching since like, November, it’s quite possible that I straight up wouldn’t be in the mental maturity state I’m in now (and I think it’s a really good kind of place–like I do not recognize the me from a year ago, but I think that’s a good thing in this stage in life?) if it weren’t for you. And I’ve somehow managed to connect with both the past and the future in the last few months, so that’s really cool. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Also, when I moved to China, you were one of the people I kept in regular contact with, and we’re close in time zones, which helped SO SO SO much omg in that first month when I was walking around dazed and confused all the time. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
