Ace if he was a boy. And Ann if she was a girl. And hearing this, Ace in tears takes the name of his preferred gender as a way of still honouring his mother and the name she chose for him. No having to feel guilt of hating the name he was born with even if it was one of the only things his mother had been able to give him. Idk I just think it’s cute
