I'm going to end tonight on this wonderful note, and I would like to share with you all some of what I did to make this a wonderful ending.
I read the first chapter of a book that my friend wrote. It is her first novel, and it is officially published. It has a really fun start, and I can't wait to read more.
I got to learn a tiny bit about dyslexia and dyscalculia. I love learning. It is my favorite thing, and this caused me to realize something I was using my blog for that I hadn't even noticed.
I realized that I was using my blog, not only to teach and to spread joy and laughter, but also to learn. This made me very happy, especially since I was able to look back and see that this isn't the first time I've used this blog for this. I think I'm going to make a post about this soon, assuming I remember tomorrow.
But finally, I started reading The Power of Myth. I just finished Bill Moyers' introduction, where he is talking about the life and death of Joseph Campbell. And I would like to share with you a piece of that.
"A story's the way to tell it. He was a man with a thousand stories. This was one of his favorites. In Japan for an international conference on religion Campbell overheard another American delegate, a social philosopher from New York, say to a Shinto priest, 'We've been now to a good many ceremonies and have seen quite a few of your shrines. But I don't get your ideology. I don't get your theology.' The Japanese paused as though in deep thought and then slowly shook his head. 'I think we don't have ideology,' he said. 'We don't have theology. We dance.'
And so did Joseph Campbell-- to the music of the spheres."
I don't know why, but this made me really happy.
End note life is wonderful anxiety can't hurt me for the rest of tonight thank you I love you all good night.
