Three decades of mystery, where she fought tooth and nail to secure her son's legitimacy.. at least in the beginning. I need some theories for these unaccounted years - don't really care how kooky they are!!

I'm not going to pretend I know anything about that part of the story (mine vision endeth with Alys killing her haters in plain sight in Harrenhal and sending them away to KL with the fear of the Seven in them lol).

However, the kooky theory I heard and that I've come to prefer over any others to explain her and Aemondcito's disappearance is that she cloaked them with some form of magic of disguise to protect themselves against the changing and dangerous political tides.

Aemondcito is a high value child and a threat to the Crown. She also had the added prejudices of society to deal with. She must have tried her very best to survive and reserve her son for whatever divine, political or magical purpose she believed he was called to.

I don't think she wanted to spend all her time and fight drawing attention to the two of them by starting disturbances. So she probably kept herself and her son hidden for a very, very long time... positioning him where he stood to benefit. 🙂
