The AdWords program enables businesses to set a budget for advertising and the business owner only pays when people click the ads.
The Google ads look almost identical to the normal search results, the only difference is the small word of “Ad” in green. Also, Google ads will show at the top and bottom of a search results page.

When a customer searches for a term better known as Keyword. Google will show the customer relevant ads based on the keywords searched. Websites that want their ads to show on the results page should bid on keywords [every keyword has a price that is known as bid] that they guess people will use when looking for particularly their type of business.
Depending on the bid amount your ad will show up on the results page when people search for the terms you bid on. Google also review the ad quality and your website. If you pass this step then only your ad will get a place on top the search engine.
THE ADVANTAGE OF GOOGLE ADS
Location-enabled ads: People usually search for location-based keywords. So, the ads need to specify the region or location where it will show. If you do not specify a region then your ad will never be going to see on the search engine.
Pay only when someone clicks you: Google uses a pay-per-click (PPC) advertising model and you only pay if someone is searching for the keyword you have bid on and click on it. You can set how much you are willing to pay per click on your ad and set a maximum daily budget.
Advanced tracking ability: You can track how many people see your ad, how many clicks are there on your ad, and how many take an action on your website. That way, if you notice that a lot of people are clicking on your ad, but no one is buying anything form your site, understand that you need to edit or change either the landing page or the ad itself.
Bid: The bid refers to the price you are willing to pay if someone clicks your ad.
Quality Score: Google assigns a quality score to your ads that reflects the relevance of the ad in terms of the keyword. Your ad needs to be relevant to be placed on the search engines.
Landing Page: When someone clicks on your ad they should be redirected to a page where they will find the result for the searched keyword. That page where the ad is redirected to is called Landing Page.
To determine which ad will rank at the top of the search results, Google multiplies your quality score by your maximum bid to find ad rank [Quality Score* Max Bid]. Those ads with the highest ad rank will land in the first ad position in Google.
Advertising on Google can go a long way towards helping you to get new customers, especially since you can target your ad specifically for people in your area.
