Many of you recognize our hand-made table from all the photos of projects we create on the table. So we thought we’d share how we made it!
Nanci found two shopping bags full of wine corks at a garage sale the year prior. We weren’t sure what to do with them initially until Nanci had the idea to do an entire table!
We hope this inspires you to created something fun!
Nanci used a jig to cut two grocery bags full of wine corks in half
After building a border to hold the resign once it is poured over the wine corks.
The corks where adhered by hand.
Corks…and more corks…
yes, even more corks.
With all corks adhered, it’s on to the resin.
We then mixed a LOT of resin.
We continued to pour resign in layers drying in between.
Used a blowtorch to eliminate bubbles before the resin dried.
Once we got the resign to the right level, we sanded to smooth out imperfections.
The finished product looked so good!
