The FAA is one of the few parts of the federal government where its pretty much understandable why they do *most* of the things that they do, and public flight radar is one of them. Flight radar is one of the few things where they are absolutely no downsides to having. It enables SAR operations to go faster, let people know if theres been a problem with the plane, track downed aircraft, prevent mid-air collisions, etc etc. If the newest stealth aircraft the US made reports its exact position in regular intervals, then so can a bland pop celebrity.
There is no possible way to say just how much of a good public flight radar is. If a US politician is visiting a country, you'll know. If you want to see countries ship arms via planes, its still public.
There is no good reason that she wants to remove this information from the public.

Presumably. One of the things about living near a nice airport is you don't have to go out to do planespotting; the planespotting hobby comes to you whether you like it or not — quite literally!!! You get so you can tell airplanes apart just by the distant sound being subtly unique. The regulars who fly in, often on the same schedule, and how a particular pilot takes the glide slope and throttle.
So when a parade of loud Leers are making unusual approaches (we have noise restrictions, which is one of the things that makes this a nice airport) — doing unnecessarily steep glide slope, high-speed landings, of course I look up Flight Radar 24.
