sleepily, the boy rubbed at his eyes, pulling on the edges of his sweatshirt as he quietly pulled the fridge open, looking for SOMETHING to soothe the craving for ECTOPLASM that had been gnawing at him for weeks at this point. the portable ghost portal was NEARLY finished, and he knew that once it was, his craving COULD be satisfied, but until then...something had to suffice. pulling out the leftovers from that night, which had his name written on it in a sticky note, the teenager quietly tiptoes to the microwave, stilling as he hears footsteps.
“I didn’t mean to wake you.” he says quietly, glancing towards the hallway. his eyes shine PERHAPS a bit too bright, but that can easily be dismissed. but how he was operating in pitch blackness with no light? little less explainable perhaps.
“I got hungry.” ...it was two AM and he had just gotten in from patrol, a fresh bruise on his face.
