Hello! I find it neat that you seem to know almost every font you come across, I think that’s really cool!
I have a question: do you have any idea what some of the fonts used in the Mystery Case Files titles here are? I’m guessing all of them are pre-existing, except for the edited S in the 13th Skull logo.
"Return to Ravenhearst" is in Nightmare 5 (2005?), a free font which you can download here (or here).
Nightmare 5 is based on the logo that appeared on some posters (possibly only in Europe?) for A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 (1989):
Though the same logo design had already been used on posters for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 (1987) and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 (1988), too.
The Nightmare logo looks hand-drawn, but possibly used Fashion Compressed (1986) [Fonts In Use] as a reference or starting point.
Nightmare 5, in turn, seems to have been the basis of, or inspiration for, Moonhells (2017), Friend (2018), and Witchunt (2023).
The Escape from Ravenhearst logo also seems to be Nightmare 5, with some customizations added. (Either that, or it's yet another font based on Nightmare 5 that I haven't identified.)
"Dire Grove" looks like Adobe Garamond (1989) [Fonts In Use · Identifont], squashed a bit horizontally.
The letters in "13th Skull" are in Centaur (1928) [Daylight Fonts · Fonts In Use · Identifont].
The number 3 is from Harrington (1899) [Daylight Fonts · Fonts In Use · Identifont]. The number 1 is hard to identify.
The "Mystery Case Files" text seems to be ITC American Typewriter Condensed (1974) [Daylight Fonts · Fonts In Use · Identifont] with the fuzzy outline added.
