A/N: This is a scenario dedicated to Admin C from @exomafiablog; her birthday was on June 13th! Sorry this took so long, Cinder! And sorry it’s not that good 😰
Originally I planned this one for Park Jimin but hey, Cinder’s bias is Kim Seokjin and who am I to say Kim Seokjin isn’t the number one worldwide handsome man?
Warning: Graphic violence
Summary: He didn’t allow carelessness in his line of sight, that was true; you wouldn’t find it in his minions and employees, even when they were drunk, you wouldn’t find it in his friends, who were every bit involved in his field as he was, you definitely wouldn’t find it in him.
So what happens when you, whose middle name is Careless, pass through his field of vision?
“Get her out! Out!” The smudged outline of a man waved in your direction with a machine gun (yes, an actual machine gun) holstered on his shoulder. Apparently you were in the way of something? And suddenly you realized; you were standing inside the trigger line that the spy drew just minutes ago that showed the assassination team was using as a reference.
Who uses machine guns in an assassination anyway? you think to yourself as you hastened to move out whilst under cover of the targeted building - a commercial building, it seemed.
As soon as you stepped outside the trigger line, a shadow emerged out of the alley you were waiting outside of, and shots were fired. Your eyes watered from the intensity of the sound, shocked that your own side would shoot with their people so close to the trigger area. But that was your fault, you surmised.
Soon enough, the mission was over, and you found out that the stolen drug load you were tracking were in the hands of a group of teenage guys led by some famous gang teen Yugyeom, who of course, was shot dead with multiple bullets lodged in his still-warm corpse from the first round of the firing squad.
But everyone was frustrated; they had sold a third of the stock already, and if you went back to the mafia leaders, they definitely wouldn’t be happy. One of the guys on the assassination team, the one who had shouted at you, tore the custom black mask off his face in anger. And surprisingly, you recognized the sweaty, serious, yet handsome face - it was Kim Seokjin, the head of your branch.
Back at the headquarters, you were asked to undergo inspection and interrogation for the whole ideal, probably because of Kim Seokjin, who was now suspicious that you had leaked the time of the attack to the other side so their bosses could have the chance to sell whatever they could.
You rolled your eyes to the ceiling as you waited for the proceedings to go on. Who would dare call out the precious mafia princess? Not even Kim Seokjin, the handsome youth who had managed to climb up the social mafia ladders with those freaky shoulders of his. Soon enough, one of the lower-downs came to fetch you from the temporary “interrogation room”, he probably wasn’t even going to ask you about what happened (mafia these days).
Then the guy, who on closer inspection, seemed to be a gangly teen with a bunch of ear piercings and whatnot, sat down in the plastic chair in front of you. You raised an eyebrow at him, surprised, but unwilling to show it.
“Did you or did you not get in the way of Jin-hyung in this mission?” The way he talked was serious, but ‘hyung’? This boy was calling Kim Seokjin hyung. Must be a friend of his.
“Kim Seokjin sent you in to question me, little boy?”
His cover of seriousness was blown off immediately as he scowled at you and said, “I’m not a little boy!” in indignation. You laughed. Calming down, he said, “My name is Jeon Jungkook and I’m one of the graduating trainees of the third assassination team. Please answer my question.” But it was too late, after he realized your ploy, that you had found his weakness in just a sentence.
“So, I’m guessing you’ll be serving under me,” you said casually, although again surprised at his claim that he was in the third assassination team, Kim Seokjin’s, the best of the three, only for the highly trained and competent. “Could you just send Kim Seokjin in? I need to have a word with him for my father.”
He looked up at you from his papers (that you suspected had nothing to do with you anyway), regarding you and looking you up and down before nodding and once more moving out of the room with his papers in tow.
Five minutes later, the door clanged open again and your head flashed up to see a different intimidating figure at the door; Kim Seokjin.
He hadn’t even sat down, just crossed the room in a few steps with his long legs, “What does our boss have to say to me?”
“Nothing,” you crossed your legs and looked off into the distance. “I’m just testing the subordination of his employees.”
If he was frustrated, he didn’t show it, but the abruptness of how he was suddenly right up in front of you, pulling your chin up to look into your eyes with his frightening brown ones, was indication enough that he was annoyed, to say the least. “Now, princess, we wouldn’t want people passing around rumours about the Busan branch, would we?” Then he was gone again, standing three feet from where he was in just the last second.
“I will be moving back to the Seoul branch again in two weeks, and I expect the Busan princess to behave herself and stop getting the third assassination team into trouble.”
He was about to pace away back out of the room, but you said, “Ah, how convenient. Then you will be my bodyguard, then? I expect my father to be calling me back to Seoul soon as well.”
Seokjin stopped, and turned back swiftly. For the first time, his face showed some emotion. Incredulity. “You’re the daughter of the boss? You are my betrothed?”
Yes, you weren’t just the Busan princess. Your father headed all of the branches in Korea.
