After the little explanation, [ Y/N ] is handed the beauty blender. It wasn’t as if she had never seen one before. She’s used one countless times but she couldn’t help but wonder if something was special about this one. In fact, she squishes it between her thumb and forefinger for a second before realising that her mentor has stopped talking.

Looking up, she sees the expectant expression and grows both confused and embarrassed “Y-You want me to—?”

“You’re doing Jungkook’s make up today so, yes, I do want you to.” Miyeong says confidently which only makes her younger friend’s heart plummet.

“B-But what if I mess up?” There’s an evident sound of panic in the girl’s voice.

Her mentor, however, shakes her head. “That’s what I’m here for. We have make up wipes too. Don’t worry, it’s not like you’re tattooing their faces.”

Her words weren’t that reassuring but they calm the girl down nonetheless. Her heart was still in her throat and she still felt nervous but at least she wasn’t shaking. With a bite to her lip, one that does not go unnoticed by the majority of the men in the room, she steps forward as Miyeong steps back.

With a little hesitance, [ Y/N ] places some of the BB cream on the top of her hand. Not too much but not too little either. She then uses the blender, getting some of the cream onto it. She knows what she’s doing is right, she’s done this to herself multiple times, but she’s still tentative.

Jungkook himself looked just as nervous as her. His hands are on his legs, eyes staring straight at the mirror in front of him. There’s a tint to his cheeks—he’s obviously flustered—but the girl doing his makeup doesn’t seem to notice this at all. Well, he hopes that she doesn’t.

After what felt like years but was, in reality, only seconds, [ Y/N ] finally finds her courage and moves the beauty blender forward. With careful and precise actions, she dabs the BB cream onto the idol’s face, making sure it’s evenly spread across his face.

“Next…” Miyeong’s voice makes the poor girl jump and she looks only to see that the other stylist was starting on Seokjin’s makeup.

Startling [ Y/N ] made the older girl laugh but only softly and, instead of saying anything, she hands the girl a couple of what looks like black tubes.

“Those are..?”

“Contour sticks.” [ Y/N’s ] answer is confident though she’s still a bit shy as she holds them in her hand.

 Miyeong’s nod only fuels her confidence, however, and she immediately goes to applying the makeup onto Jungkook’s face.

As she’s applying the makeup, she doesn’t notice the way Jungkook’s eyes flutter to the reflection of Jimin and Taehyung in the mirror.

Jimin is pouting at the sight of such a very cute girl so very close to Jungkook. How he wished to be in the maknae’s position now! Jungkook wasn’t even talking to the girl or attempting to get her to be a pit more comfortable around them. To Jimin, [ Y/N ] far too on edge and it was a shame. It would be nice if she was much more relaxed around them.

Taehyung, on the hand, was much more focused on the girl rather than the boy sitting in the chair. He was completely enamoured with the concentrated expression on [ Y/N’s ] face as well as the fact that there was a cute shade of pink on her cheeks. He does frown at the idea of her blushing because Jungkook was her favourite member but, on the other hand, he also thinks that it’s possible that she was simply flustered because she was in a room full of idols.

“[ Y/N ]-ie, who’s your favourite member?” Hoseok is finally the first of the boys to actually properly talk to the girl after a while and the bright smile on his face as he sits in the chair beside Jungkook’s only seems to make the girl even more flustered.

Still, she didn’t want to be rude and not answer so she simply shrugs “I-I don’t know.”

“It’s me, of course.” Seokjin pipes up from his seat on the other side of Jungkook and he catches [ Y/N’s ] gaze in the mirror in front of him. With the cute smile on his face, he winks, firing finger guns at her reflection. The cheesy action makes the poor girl hurriedly turn back to Jungkook, shrugging all the while but obviously flustered by the action.

It melts the boys’ hearts, even the quiet Min Yoongi who sat on the sofa, watching the entire scene unfold in front of him. He’s debating whether to say anything but decides against it seeing as he can’t think of anything to say. Instead, he continues watching, pretending to be disinterested and, all the while, pretending that his heart isn’t fluttering in his chest from how cute this girl is being.

Either way, Miyeong’s response to Jin’s cheesiness is a small shake to his broad shoulders that makes him pout “All of you are so mean. Can’t you see how nervous she is?”

“She’s right… Knock it off, guys.” Namjoon is the next member to pipe up and, though he means what he says, he can’t help but be rather taken by the girl as well. It’s not hard to find her cute, with the way she reacts to everything and just simply with the way she looks.

This continues for a while, the boys occasionally piping up to say something or tease [ Y/N ] rather subtly. The only members that don’t really say anything is Yoongi and Jungkook, both of them rather too shy or dumbfounded by the girl to really think of anything to say. Jungkook had never really been good with girls in the first place and Yoongi had never been good with people.

Eventually, however, [ Y/N ] finishes with the makeup on Jungkook and informs the older stylist, spinning Jungkook to face Miyeong as well.

“Oh~ Nice. That’s really good, [ Y/N ]!” She compliments the younger one before kindly pointing out a few more things she could improve and fixing it for her as well.

Suddenly, a thought occurs to Miyeong and she checks the time before looking quite surprised “Oh, [ Y/N ] didn’t you say you had something to go to at this time?”

What Miyeong says makes her look at the time too and she’s just as surprised, nodding hurriedly “I-I have to g-go..! I can’t be late!”

“Here, I’ll walk you out of the building.” The older stylist offers and it’s not long before the Bangtan boys are left alone in the room.

There’s a short silence before Hoseok quickly breaks it, a chuckle in the tone of his voice “Did you see Jungkookie’s face?”

Jungkook frowns at this “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“She was cute.” Taehyung says something completely off topic and in a slightly dreamy voice. What ensues next is a silence that implied that everyone agreed with the statement wholeheartedly.

However, the fact that all of them agreed makes everyone suddenly straighten their posture.

“Wait a second… No way, what do you mean she’s cute? Don’t tell me you like her?” Yoongi finally says something in what feels like forever and there’s the usual grumpy expression on his face.

Seokjin shakes his head at this “I’m the oldest.”

“Maybe too old.” Jimin laughs, a cheeky expression spread across his face.

There isn’t a tension as they bicker about the girl as everything is kept playful (though there’s nothing playful about how Yoongi roasts all of them in turn) but each one of them was thinking basically the same thing.
