Day 3 of @patricklange1 s life as an @adidas_de lab rat and yet another great glimpse into the innovation lab at the @adidas global HQ in Herzogenaurach. This impressive state-of-the-art lab has been built to break down and understand human movement into the very last detail and to support the engineers in their endeavour to improve the products to the max. This passion for performance and details can also be seen by Adidas CFO Harm Ohlmeyer stopping by during the test in the lab for a chat! As we were facing many questions on the treadmill and the “structure below”: the @adidas_de innovation lab is home to a gaitway®️ 3d instrumented treadmill, that allows simultaneous measurements of 3D forces, pressure and torques on a running deck size of 190 x 65cm and at a max. speed of 40 km/h. The rigid structure below the treadmill is the optional inclination module, that allows the fixation of the whole system in up to 20% inclination – necessary to maintain the accuracy of data streams.
