MJ’S BAND AID IN THE CAFE SCENE AT THE END OF THE FILM. its not there at the beginning of the scene. now i know it may have been hidden behind her hair, but she’s facing Peter when he enters the cafe and he doesn’t notice it then, and neither do we because BECAUSE BECAUSE the band-aid is symbolic of the shit that MJ goes through just by knowing Peter is Spiderman, just by knowing Peter Parker. Even though the things that happen to MJ are in no way Peter’s fault, just by knowing Peter - she’s constantly in danger, and her life is constantly getting upended, and that band aid  - which btw, i’m 99.99% is is the cut that Peter points out when he’s like “oh you’re bleeding” when he’s like saying goodbye to Ned and MJ but anyway - that BAND AID is symbolic of the stuff that MJ went through because she knew Peter,,,,and it only shows up when Peter is actually getting familiar with MJ and falling back into old patterns???

Ten never moves on from his actions. Not from the Time War all those years ago, and not from his actions as Ten. He never moves past the pain he causes Martha and the danger he put her family in, he never moves past the loss of Donna Noble, he spends his entire regeneration half in love with Rose Tyler - and it honestly shapes all of his actions,,,because he never lets go of grief and pain and loss

but Eleven isn’t like that

Eleven moves past loss and companions so much quicker, because he’s so focused on the bigger picture and his end-goal that he chooses to forget the people he hurts along the way. You never really see Eleven react to the fact that he’s always known River Song would die, or that Rory gets killed over and over - because he literally forgets. He never once acknowledges the amount of times that he essentially abandons Amy; his reaction to the Mistress is really weird when you consider that he’s known her since they were kids on Gallifrey - in fact he only ever remembers that he manages to save Gallifrey when its convenient for the plot. In fact, Eleven repeatedly relies on the fact that Clara doesn’t remember their encounters because its easier for him to forget that he’s met her multiple times than it is to deal with that co-incidence 

and its just the way Tony sees this person who’s so like him and yet not, Bruce who is meek and timid and so uncomfortable in his skin, and thinks about how when he’s had nothing he’s had his mind and he wants that for Bruce.

It may just be because 9-1-1 has a much bigger cast, but you only ever see the core 118 fam act as a family. The extended families sort of keep within their circles: you don't see Micheal and May interact with any other 118 members except Bobby and Athena (and to some extent Hen), I don't think I've ever seen Karen and Denny on screen if it's not with Hen, we haven't gotten a scene where Jee Yun meets anyone else in the 118 except Buck, Christopher has almost exclusively cultivated a relationship with Buck and Buck alone -- we only ever see the wider families interact in the big ensemble scenes

In contrast, in Lone Star, we know that the 126 fam are friends with each other, but Grace has that one woman (who's name I cant remember) that she's drinking buddies with and Judd is also friends with Tommy, who is also friends with Billy and Billy also interacts with Owen and Owen has a good rapport with Gabriel and Carlos and Carlos is very clearly involved in TK's friend circle and TK has made an effort to be friends with Nancy and Nancy also has a connection with Tommy and Marjan and Marjan clearly has a close relationship with Paul - and and and i can go on

The inter-connectedness of the 126 and their wider families is very much present in a way you dont really see with the 118 and that kind of makes me upset. Like I wish we'd see May babysit Denny or for Harry and Christopher to be secret besties, I want to see the first time Hen gets to hold Jee-Yun and Karen and Maddie bonding over the ridiculousness of their partners -- why don't we get Athena and Maddie getting drunk and talking about Buck's recklessness or Micheal giving Chimney advice about being a dad.

There's so many missed opportunities because we only ever see certain characters interact with one of the 118 instead of all of them. At this point it would be completely out of left field to see like May and Buck talking, or Bobby baby-sitting Eddie or Athena and Maddie getting a drink, because those scenes have never really happened on the show.

Tony: hey, perhaps we need some oversight and we need to stop breaking international law at our whim. here's the Accords, written by A HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN countries. Maybe give it a read?

Steve: no.

Tony: hey, Ross wants to kill you. Let me take you in as a show of good faith so that we can sort this out?

Steve: no

Tony: hey, even though you attacked me, im still here to help because i trust in you and - is that my mother dying? on tape? is that your bestfriend strangling her?

Steve: no - well yes but dont get mad.
