Ever wondered why a stimulant is used to treat ADHD? I mean, treating hyperactivity with the stimulant is like fighting fire with fire. Our brains are bombarded with millions of stimulus every second. Every sight, sound, color, sensation. The ADHD brain struggles to regulate this and filter out unnecessary stimulus. Causing overwhelm. The stimulant meds stimulates the area in the brain that filters these stimulus, making us calm down. Of course bot everyone with ADHD has this effect. ADHD Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. It sounded like a dreaded diagnoses untill after Taree Zameen Par released.  It made ADHD a living room conversation and raised awareness about it, that may be your child isn't acting out, may be he is struggling with his studies.  .  .  .  Another thing worth mentioning is that the diagnoses is now become far more frequent. Not because the cases are rising, but because schools have become aware and in a bid to show themselves as considerate, they have started referring any and every slow performing student for him to be labelled as ADHD.  .  .  .  Another alarming thing about this disorder is its symptoms afe those exhibited by most toddlers-tantrums, short attention span, etc. Hence the diagnosis of ADHD is done by a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the symptoms. Not just the presence of them.  . . . It took me 34 yrs to even TOUCH meds for my ADHD. I’m hearing lately that some doctors just hand out Adderall as a “study drug”. Are you fuckin serious? What’s your experience with Adderall?
