Alderscratch is a strong, fierce, yet brash warrior. As a kit, he was mostly outshined by his divine sister, Cottonmoon, yet his father, Fogpelt, seemed to favour him. He was apprenticed to Mudlily, a bitter ageing warrior, despite her chronic grumpiness Alderscratch enjoyed her company, she was the closest thing to a mother he ever had. When Mudlily died due to an infected wound, his father, who had always wanted to mentor him, replaced her. Alderscratch is somewhat unfocused and finds it very hard to be patient, he also gets into more fights than any other cat, earning him an abundance of scars. He chooses not to take a mate and never plans to, but being a healthy tom, Thunderclan hounds him on getting a mate, yet he is content with his father, sister, and best friend, Sunfang’s company. His father’s imprisonment has done a number and him and his sister’s relationship, though he longs for her support more than ever, he doesn’t know if he should be mad at her since as the Star Walker she 'll be orchestrating their father’s execution.
