"ADHD is only a disability because of capitalism" is literally how ADHD people are assessed and it's ableist.
I'd still struggle with basic chores of looking after myself and my house. I'd struggle with holding down a job needed to benefit a communist society. I'd struggle to regulate my emotions and not get over/under stimulated. I'd struggle with impulsivity more and burn out and disassociating. I'd struggle to keep on top of my studies.
Executive dysfunction, emotional dysregulation, impulsivity and hyperactivity, as well as inattentiveness, forgetfulness, careless mistakes, the struggle to take care of yourself, as well as a lot of other things people with ADHD have to deal with each day wouldn't just go away if society became anything else that wasn't capitalist.
We'd still struggle and need accommodations. ADHD isnt just "people who struggle under a capitalist society" because we all struggle under a capitalist society. ADHD affects every aspect of our lives just like any other disability so stop belittling it
The fire in my belly grows every day. The more I read people's struggles with ADHD, the more I want to shake the world and give it a lecture about respect and ignorance. We struggle unnecessarily. We don't have to go through this to be successful but society gives us no choice but to focus primarily in learning how to be like them so secondarily we can achieve what they ask us to achieve in order to succeed. It's not funny anymore. The joke is over. The "look, a squirrel" perspective is starting to feel like a disrespect. I've had enough and I'm quite sure most of us have.
