[I know, I am sorry. I had a lot of homework this weekend. In the past 3 days I have read 9 textbook chapters (most of them are rather long at that) and answered homework questions based on 5 of them. Along with various other homework assignments and real life obligations. I am doing the best I can. Regardless, new rules:

-Rouxls, Jevil, and the Spade King are now available (for occasional asks)

-Please be patient with the mod while I am in school, especially during the first few weeks of a new set of classes while I am adjusting to them. This rule is mostly due to impatience with the slower update schedule this weekend on another blog, which is really stressful when I am already trying to deal with several irl things at once. I would like to say an extremely grateful thank you to everyone who is already being patient, I really appreciate it! I will try to update as soon as I can.

(( I realize this is something I haven’t talked about in any detail despite having pretty strong feelings about. I’m perfectly comfortable having multiple threads with the same mun, but I ask that there not be too much overlap in content between those threads, unless my partner is using different muses for each one. The general rule is one para/multi-para thread per muse per plot. Meaning, we can have multiple threads going with the same muse covering different events, and we can have threads with different muses covering the same events, but I’m not going to write multiple threads with the same muses covering the same events.

This is not necessarily a steadfast rule, but if I bend it for you, there must be some sort of very good reason ic to do so. Never assume I will make an exception for you without asking first. If you write me more than one starter or send me more than one ask, I will respond to one of them and the others will be ignored or deleted. Failure to understand and respect this after being told will seriously diminish my inclination to rp with you.

(( Fight scenes and the like can be a tricky thing to work out with new partners, so here are a few guidelines to make it all easier.

Picking a fight with Mark is a-okay, but please understand that, underneath his tough guy exterior, he’s kind of a wimp and probably can’t give your muse much of a challenge. Auto-hits against him are perfectly fine, so long as they’re not fatal or otherwise permanent. So, things like punching, kicking, smacking, or even knocking him out are okay, but cutting off limbs, blinding him, or killing him are not. Some exceptions might be made in cases where permanent injury is relevant to an AU, but it’s crucial this be plotted beforehand.

Pokemon battles must be plotted, no exceptions. Even if it’s as simple as deciding how best to do it and who the victor will be, it has to happen. Attempting to start a pokemon battle thread without planning it out first will get your thread ignored. Also, auto-hits are NOT okay in pokemon battles. That just wouldn’t be fair.

Lastly, and I cannot stress this enough, interactions with Shadow Pokemon can be extremely dangerous and should not be taken lightly. You will be given fair warning before one attacks, but if your muse doesn’t back away, they could get seriously hurt. I say this because I do not want you complaining because your muse was attacked after you ignored tons of ic warning. If my muse says “Hey, be careful around this pokemon and never touch it,” but your muse is like “Oh, what a cute Bayleef!” and gets hurt trying to pet it, don’t come crying to me. Similarly, never assume that your muse will be treated differently by Shadow Pokemon for whatever reason. They are almost completely indiscriminate in who/what they attack. If you want a thread involving Shadow Pokemon, please plot with me first. It’s not required, but it is wise.

(( As mentioned in my rules, this blog will have some mature/dark themes present. What does that mean, exactly? In this case, nothing too serious, but worth mentioning all the same. Everything will be tagged for easy blacklisting.

The only persistent mature content will be smoking and swearing, though Mark is careful not to do these around child muses. Both are bad habits he picked up from other Team Snagem members, and while he tries not to do either in excess, these are both things you should expect to see from him now and then.

Less frequently mentioned themes are child abuse and neglect. Neither of these are things Mark is fond of talking about, so the subject won’t come up out of the blue in a thread. You’d really have to pry to get him to open up about it. However, when answering memes, these themes may occur.

One thing that may appear on this blog depending on my partners, but is not guaranteed to, is violence. None of it will be graphic (this is a kids’ series!), but it is something I’m open to. I will not tag violence as a general trigger, but rather tag the specific trigger involved in the thread (like blood, for example).

I feel like a bad person doing this, but there are just some ways in which certain OCs make me uncomfortable.

I will not write with OCs who are additional members of Thorin’s Company (or additional members of the Fellowship of the Ring). The number of members in each of those company are specific and important, and I just don’t feel comfortable with those numbers being changed for an OC.

I am generally uncomfortable with OC family members who are a sibling or child of Sigrid. I have made exceptions to that and have had some very good experiences, but I have also been made to feel extremely uncomfortable by OCs of that sort, so I ask that if you come talk to me if you’d like to play an OC sibling or child of Sigrid’s. I’m absolutely willing to discuss it with you, but I do ask that you speak with me first.

Since relationships—whether they’re romantic, platonic, familial, rivalries, or anything else—are a crucial part of the roleplaying experience, I wanted to be clear about where I stand on matters of shipping and the like. Obviously, I’d prefer most relationships develop naturally through interaction, but there are other ways to ship, too. And not only that, but I have some preferences as to how certain kinds of ships are done.

-Pre-established Relationships-

Honestly, these can be very fun, and I personally encourage anyone who’s interested to message me and start planning something out. That said, all ships still have to be based on chemistry or potential compatibility. It absolutely must make sense for Isley to be interested in the muse he’s being shipped with. If they’ve interacted before and have chemistry, feel free to approach me about threads and AUs where the two are involved and have been for a long time. And what if they haven’t interacted? Well, if I know enough about your muse and see a lot of potential, I’ll probably agree to it.

I’m less picky when it comes to friendships, allegiances, and cases where our muses were once lovers, but have since split. Even so, these relationships also have to make sense. If you message me and ask if we can say our muses have been friends for the last 50 years, yet your muse seems like someone Isley wouldn’t get along with, I’ll politely decline. I’m not trying to be rude, but I do want some say in what sort of relationships my muse has.

-Shipping Verses-

By default, each ship is considered its own verse or subverse, and is given a unique tag to represent it. However, there are times when this might not be the case. One such exception is anytime multiple parties have agreed to verses that involve either cheating or polyamory. When something like this happens, all ships involved will still be tagged by their normal ship name, but there will also be a verse or AU tag to represent the collective shipping tomfoolery for these muses. For example, if Isley was in a relationship with both Luciela and Rigaldo in the same verse, tags for their threads might be something like “s: polar opposites, s: the king and his lion, v: lovers both wild and tamed.”

There’s always also the possibility of a main verse ship. Main verse is tagged as either “v: before the siege” or “v: southern breeze” with the only difference between them being timeframe in relation to the canon plot. Any main verse ship is the ship belonging to one or both of these. If the ship belongs in one, but not the other, that means the other could also have a ship without any overlap. Recycling a previous example, Isley could be involved with Rigaldo in Before the Siege and later with Luciela in Southern Breeze, since Rigaldo dies in the time between the two. Now, if a ship spans both halves of main verse, that means it has to be the only main verse ship. So basically, no more than two ships can be considered main verse, but chances are it’ll be just one.

Unfortunately, I’m extremely picky about main verse ships. For starters, this is one case where I insist the relationship develop naturally through various interactions rather than strictly being plotted. There can be some plotting and discussion, of course, but you can’t just message me asking to be part of a main verse ship unless there’s already natural build up to it. Even more importantly, any muse involved in a main verse ship must be a Claymore character (canon or OC), or in the case of fandomless OCs, must have a Claymore verse/AU.
