I'm a blended fescue kind of guy but this Titan Rx is amazing (pricey though). The one mistake we consistently see people make is not looking at the production tag. The tag will tell you everything from the test date, germination rate, weed content, inert material, types of fescue if it's a blend, to where it came from. If you know your fescue species, you can get the right seed blend for where you're trying to grow it. I like stripes so I thought I would use the @lanierlawncare code and give the @bigleaguelawns_usa stripe kit a shot... here are my thoughts (keep in mind our mowers already had the @ferrismowers stripe kit on them). • 1. Built like a tank but it does effect the controls ever so slightly (as does adding any other weight I suppose). 2. Really enjoy seeing solid stripes without a delineation between the stripe kit and tires. 3. One thing I'm not a fan of is the additional length makes it so you can't get into those tight spots which is what standers are exceptionally good at... kind of a trade off though. Great stripes for a little more length isn't all that bad. 4. One thing that takes a bit to get used to is mowing around sharp corners and then trying to back-up to get that little patch of grass, the outside corner of the roller will catch/hit first... whereas before my butt would bump something first in tight spots. 5. Here in TN we have Fescue and Bermuda. It works a lot better on Fescue since it always gets mowed a lot higher leaving longer blades that lay over nicely creating that stripe effect in conjunction with the light... Bermuda, not so much because of the shorter cut height. • In summary, if you cut a lot of tall Fescue lawns, this tank of a stripe kit will work wonders as long as you're willing to add a little more length.
