I just remembered this existed after marinating it for a year. I'm so proud of myself for holding off on this one because if I had to deal with weekly posts from this absolute masterpiece my sanity will break.

DESCRIPTION (by me):
Ever since he was young, Enkrid dreamed of becoming a knight. However, after finally leaving his village, he soon realized that he had absolutely no talent for the sword. Still everyday he trains hard in hopes of someday fulfilling his dream, until he dies of course.
Then he wakes up to the morning before his death, only to die again. And again, and again. Everytime he dies he wakes up the morning of that day, with his newfound blessing(?), he gains unlimited time to train and master the sword.
Is dying repeatedly truly a blessing or is this a curse meant to swallow him whole?
THIS IS SUCH A GOOD READ FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKES:
MC's that don't just rely on system rewards to become op.
Slow progression, no shortcuts, everything that the MC has is gained though blood (so much), sweat and tears
Side characters who shine and feel as human as the MC.
MAYBE NOT FOR THOSE WHO:
Do not like an MC who is very weak, at the start everyone is so much better than MC
Repetitive happenings, as the title suggests there are a lot of regressions here it can even reach up to hundreds for a single arc
Wants a fast paced plot. The MC here spends a lot of time dying therefore not exactly the fastest plot progress.

Well hello! This is a first of (hopefully) many elongated posts going over my passion project: CORVID. My name is Lili / Cherri, and I hope you can enjoy some of my many, many ramblings about this comic :) First things first: what IS Corvid? Corvid is a webcomic published on Tapas written by me with art done by my good friend Wells, it's a superhero / action fantasy story about a young girl, Artemis, who's experiencing some... Particularly odd events in her life. After one tragic night, Artemis vows to protect her home of Sunset City as the vigilante known as... Well. Come on. Obviously its Corvid. Throughout her journey, she makes friends, enemies, and discovers who she truly is. Corvid's thesis statement is about identity. Who are we, as people, truly? Will we ever know? And is there something deep within us, aching to be let out? Let's meet some of the colorful cast of Corvid, shall we?
ARTEMIS MONROE
Artemis is our cute, fun-loving, slightly aloof, yet overall well-intentioned protagonist. Artie has a heart of gold, and a deep-seeded desire to help those around her, yet has generally felt a little... Listless in life. If you asked her, she couldn't possibly tell you why she felt so lost, but she'd probably eat up all your time rambling about it. Maybe there's something she's looking for... Or someone...?
SELENE CALLAHAN
Selene is Artemis's best friend, has been since they were kids, and by God, she would NEVER let you forget it! Selene's a rather dry, witty woman, who prefers to keep to herself (if your name isn't Artemis, that is.) Her infatuation with Artemis can be a little detrimental to herself, as it leaves her not really knowing what she wants sometimes. She does, however, know what she really really doesn't want.
And, of course, what kind of story is built without some antagonists?
ENOCH
Enoch is the primary antagonist of Corvid, a being made up of pure despair, the physical embodiment of your worst nightmares. He's an almost Shakespearean eldritch monster, the kind of thing you'd see under your bed as a child. His motivations are simple, yet not to be trifled with. Anyone who dares get in his way will not be treated mercifully.
UMBRA
Umbra (or if you're one of my friends who read Chapter 1 - Part 2 recently, the character I've been referring to as "the freaky bug girl,") is the secondary antagonist of Corvid, and a far more personal threat to Artemis. She's got some complicated feelings of her own, and hasn't been present in the narrative thus far, and while I know you aren't supposed to have favorite children... She's kinda my favorite. I think Umbra is the perfect physical embodiment of Corvid's themes, and it hurts my soul I can't talk about her more. Just... Just trust me, as the comic continues to release, you'll see what I mean.
IN CONCLUSION: Corvid is a story that is currently not finished, and takes a long time to make. I am asking for an investment of your time, to experience this story alongside me & Wells, as we both strive to put out the story that has been burning in my heart for about two years now. These characters, this story, this world, means everything to me. It's a love-letter to myself, I'm not afraid to admit that, but I also hope it reaches a few likeminded individuals, who can experience the same joy, heartbreak, and excitement that this comic brings me. Throughout the coming weeks, I'll be making some additional posts about the aforementioned characters (as well as some I left out intentionally, wink wink) to provide as much insight into them as possible. It was just a normal day for the crew of the merchant's ship The Siren's Call. They made a stop at Vemor to load and unload cargo, give the sailors a break from the sea, and swiftly depart to the next destination.
As they always did.
And, right as they left, a series of explosions ignited the city all at once.
A stowaway, Flavie, is discovered on the ship. She clearly has a connection to the disasterβand the trail of similar cases leading up to Vemorβbut a truth-compulsion spell confirms she's an amnesiac who knows nothing about the matter. Either she's innocent, or she's the only person alive who's found a way to lie through the spell...
Now The Siren's Call sails with a walking mystery amongst them, a burning city behind them, and secrets of their own suddenly under fire. Can they uncover the truth behind Vemor's burning before they're discovered? To the world, they look like accomplices. To Flavie, they seem like captorsβor her last hope.
Because the return of her memories might doom them all.
On the other hand, it could be their salvation.
