Acrassicauda - House Of Dust
Heavy Metal in Baghdad: A documentary Vice did in 2006 on the Iraqi metal band Acrassicauda. Really interesting. I can’t fathom the conviction these guys had to play metal in a country where it could get you killed.
The documentary ends on kind of a sad note, but things got better! Currently, the guys live in Brooklyn (since 2009) and released their first LP in 2015.

FOR HEAVY METAL LOVERS
First watch "Heavy Metal in Baghdad" (2007). Then look up how far the band has come, they are on itunes. Honestly the documentary is very sad.. But it brings awareness, to the middle east, that there are human beings living there, there are actually people there. Its not all terrorists, stop labeling and profiling all of the middle east as terrorist. Just stop. Acrassicauda Holy shit, this band is amazing.
