"In a truly crazy ass turn of events some marketing guru [at Midway] figured the best way to promote [Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, MLB Slugfest 2003, and Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy] was by enlisting three different nu metal bands to write original songs for each [one]. I have no idea how well this translated to actual units sold but it is something to behold. For Mortal Kombat, Adema manages to look and sound goofier than usual on “Immortal.” So goofy are the lyrics in fact that I’ve been propagating a rumor that singer Mark Chavez improvised the lyrics after eating an entire fridge’s worth of ice cream sandwiches for years." ~Holiday Kirk, The Nu Metal Agenda ("A Beginner's Guide to Nu-Metal Video Games")

The song "Unstable" by Adema is very fitting of the square synastry apsects between Venus-Mar, Venus-Uranus, Mars-Pluto, and Venus-Neptune.
First of all thank you for introducing me for such a nostalgic song it's too underrated wtf😭😭
Secondly YES YES AND YES. The fucking lyrics scream Venus-Mars square throughout the entire song. Actually each part does like:
Venus-Mars Square:
"We can’t get along, I thought I was strong"
"Strung out from your touch, But I won’t give you up"
Mars-Pluto square:
"I wanted to learn about the dark side of you"
"tear me apart"
"I'm trapped"
Venus-Neptune square:
"I thought I was strong"
"You bring me down like a bottle of pills"
The entire song itself is a peak Venus-Uranus square, the on-and-off and just being unstable and coming back and leaving and back. I'm not a big fan of music so this is all I could manage lol.
Once again, the new year has started and its time for me to post about all of the concerts I went to in the past year. This includes my thoughts on each concert and any information I deem relevant to share. As always, these are my opinions so take them with a grain of salt.
Also this mayyyy be a face reveal for me. Just because I loved my concert makeup looks so much. Be gentle if you're going to comment about it lol.
APRIL 23rd - Paleface Swiss, Stick to Your Guns, & Nasty
Honestly, I thought I was going to die at this show. Between the stage divers doing backflips, and the crowdkilling... It was a lot. Because of all of that, there are pretty much no pictures from this show. It wasn't quite out of state but it was two-ish hours away to get to this concert. Still all of the bands put on a hell of a show. I could really give a shit about Stick to Your Guns, but Nasty and Paleface just killed it. I love you Tom Huschka <3 I can't wait to see Paleface Swiss again this year. 8/10

APRIL 29th - Hollywood Undead, Tech N9ne, Set It Off, & Zero 9:36
I had waited almost 9 years to see Set It Off. They absolutely did not disappoint. I need them to come back, PRONTO. Seeing Hollywood Undead again was such a treat! And having VIP was absolutely amazing even if their manager was a complete asshole. But I met great new friends at the show! Tech N9ne was better than I expected! He put on a sweet show, despite the AI visuals on screen. He also looked directly at me and said "Oh... you're crazy!" What a wonderful compliment!! 10/10
APRIL 30th - Spiritbox, Loathe, Dying Wish, & GEL
Was a last minute decision for me to go. My boyfriend was dying to see Spiritbox, which I really didn't care for until I heard them live. She just fucking killed it. I'd always liked Holy Roller, but seeing them live opened my eyes and now I can't get enough. I was happy to see Loathe as some of their songs hold a special place in my heart. It was beautiful. Dying Wish kicked ass again. 8/10
MAY 1st - Upon A Burning Body, Left To Suffer, King 810, Half Me, & Bury My Demons
I mainly went for King 810, but I really do like UABB too. Killshot absolutely kicked me in the face with how heavy it was. I'd been dying to see that one live. King 810 was the highlight of the show though. I definitely recommend checking him out if you like some truthful lyrics and raw vocals. 6/10 only because I only liked two of the five bands.
(See pictures above with Nasty and Paleface review)
MAY 13th - Ice Nine Kills, Melrose Avenue, The Funeral Portrait, & The Word Alive
Man, seeing Ice Nine AGAIN was fucking amazing! We traveled out of state for this one since it was a two night event as you'll see below. Night one was good, but certainly not as good as night two. They played The Silver Scream in its entirety from front to back. A concert model I wish more bands would adopt. The Funeral Portrait was the only other band I really enjoyed on night one. They just have some catchy songs! Lee signed my poster too! 7/0
MAY 14th - Ice Nine Kills, Dark Divine, TX2, & Hail The Sun
Night two was to die for! They played Welcome to Horrorwood in its entirety and that album is just a damn masterpiece. Funeral Derangements was the closest I've felt to ascending, in my life. The kick drum just got you right in the chest, the chaos of the crowd, it was all just perfect. My boyfriend dipped out when the crowd got too rowdy so I hopped in the pit and had a great time. I was a lot closer to the stage during night two. Also got to talk to Anthony from Dark Divine as well, that was pretty sick. As always, I hate TX2 and he fucking sucks! 8/10, 2 points deducted since I fucking hate TX2 that badly!
JUNE 8th - Mastodon, Coheed And Cambria, & Periphery
I literally only went to this concert for Mastodon. They fucking rocked. I got in the pit so there's barely any pictures here. Brann Dailor is still such a hottie... I got a suuuuper expensive signed exclusive poster, then left. Didn't stay for Coheed since I knew Welcome Home would be at the end of the concert and that was the only song I'd care about lmao 7/10 since I only cared for Mastodon
JULY 9th - Babymetal, Jinjer, & Bloodywood
We traveled out of state for this concert. This venue was just a bit smaller than our arena at home and it was pretty much packed. We were two rows from the front! Bloodywood absolutely KILLED ITTTT!! I can't wait to see them again this coming year. They're a band you definitely want to see! Jinjer was also amazing. It's always a treat to see a strong woman fronted band. I also caught their drumhead that people almost beat me up for. Thanks to my boyfriend for fighting them off me. (I caught it two hands to my chest btw. Fair and square.) Babymetal was pretty good! The pyro was fucking sick. But Su needs a damn break. Her poor voice. 8/10 because I almost had to fight people.
JULY 27th - The Union Underground, Spineshank, Adema, & Sicksense
Another concert I went to for one band. Adema my love, please come back. I loved their choice of venue and I was front row. I truly underestimated the makeup I did until I look back at it. One of my best looks I've done to this day. ANYWAYS. They rocked and I'm begging for them to come back. Sicksense was super cool too! Their singer was absolutely beautiful and we kept having sweet eye contact moments. Apparently they did a song for COD Zombies? My boyfriend was super jealous I went lol! 7/10

AUGUST 10th - Ice Nine Kills, Dayseeker, The Funeral Portrait, & Kim Dracula
More Ice Nine Kills! If you couldn't tell, I love them. They killed it once again! The Funeral Portrait started to creep up my favorites list during this concert. Dayseeker is a hard pass for me though. Kim Dracula has been on my bucket list for a couple years and he didn't disappoint! Idk why he decided that he wanted me to start a pit?? (I almost died) Especially since I was three rows from the front?? But I caught a drumstick and it made up for fucking up my glasses. 9/10
AUGUST 31st - System of A Down & Avenged Sevenfold
One of the best concerts of my life. I'm still hard pressed Avenged Sevenfold didn't play A Little Piece of Heaven. I'll probably never forgive them. But System of A Down blew me away. I knew they'd be great. But fuck, it was amazing. Truly a lifechanging moment and a great bonding experience with my boyfriend. We got to travel out of state, see new places, and eat new food. 9/10 only deducting a point because of the lack of ALPOH.
A more in depth post about this concert and their pop-up shop, here.
SEPTEMBER 23rd - Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, & Return To Dust
This was a concert I didn't think I'd be able to go to. The ticket prices were just outrageous. But (without me even asking) my uncle asked if we'd like to go. Of course we said yes. He really only gave a shit about Breaking Benjamin, while we were there for TDG. So it worked out well. Three Days Grace put on a great show, except for the AI visuals. We can get rid of that. Matt is absolutely beautiful. I got another expensive signed poster lol! 9/10
OCTOBER 16th - In This Moment, Dayseeker, The Funeral Portrait, & DED
This concert was pretty much perfect all around (besides Dayseeker, still a hard pass). The crowd wasn't horrible, the music was great, and it was at my favorite venue. I'd been hoping to see DED for a couple years now, and they were kickass. I was disappointed they didn't play Kill Beautiful things, but it was still a good set. I was front row in one of their Instagram posts! The Funeral Portrait was wonderful once again! What a great set! And In This Moment... Oh good lord... They were killer. Randy was so funny, giving me silly looks, pointing at me, and throwing me two picks. Maria threw me a rose, and I got a setlist at the end of the show. Truly an amazing night. 10/10
