The word is in the Dragon Tongue and means "soul chosen". Like the Myrassar and their dragons, the ritual unites two fae through a ceremony which results in the binding of the two souls. It is a vow of sacred friendship and loyalty. The ritual itself is very painful and could result in death if the two souls are not truly complementary. Like all aspects of the Dragon Faith, Do'strath have been outlawed by Aerella Argarys. In the book we meet two Do'strath: Mykal Todrak and Arkael. Mykal is the son of Darrok Todrak, Head of the Ice Lands. Always faithful to the Myrassar, Lord Todrak has continued to profess the Dragon Faith in secret, as has his son.
